I also appreciate this, and I mean this in a positive way, how much more "manufactured" or calculated the artists seem, honestly (not that there's anything fake about them). They control their image and material in exactly the way I wish western artists would.

tbh when you say it like that, it makes sense lol.
most album cycles (promo) lasts like a month tho. they'll promote on various tv shows (similar to TRL in a way) where they perform and get nominated for awards (highly prestigious ones) too so if you get deeper into kpop you should subscribe so you can always be notified when your faves performed and all that.
& true, they know how they want their whole image set up from the start (there are scandals tho, ALOT over the dumbest stuff. like if you look tired, fans will DRAG you for it and so will the GP lol). its a mess sometimes tbh but yeah, them and their labels make sure of how they want to be portrayed which is always good at times
