I've seen some shade being thrown at the girls for this space concept, and can I shut ya'll down right now?
K? K.

I don't think YG will bother with a 2NE1 English release. Their English isn't good enough apart from CL and she's really awkward in interviews. I couldn't really see them becoming a serious act in America.
SNSD tried and they have better English speakers, including 2 fluent speakers with Jessica and Tiffany and they still didn't do that well. I think SNSD could try again but I don't see 2NE1 succeeding.
Maybe CL as a solo artist could work with an English release if she got some media training but otherwise probably not.
SNSD haven't fully tried though. They released one half assed translation and went over to visit their fans for SMTOWN in New York. It wasn't a proper release. They did get some great promo spots, but I never saw them as trying to make The Boys a smash. It was more to show them off, both in the US and for at home in Korea. As in, "Look, they can get spots on big American talkshows!".
The only one with dodgy English is Minzy. The rest are fine and sound very natural, but they're just not confident. If they were to study, they would be perfect.

And let's be real, the phrase world tour doesn't really mean much when it comes to K-pop artists.
Have they? I don't remember English teasers, a world tour and English subs predating one of their comebacks before?? Couple all that with the fact they've meant to be releasing an English song for a while, and it's "all or nothing" now... I am keeping the faith, BUT(!) am NAWT expecting it.
It does for 2NE1, seeing as they actually sold out American shows and travelled outside Asia.

I should've been clearer with my last post, but they've done a "world tour" before with their New Evolution tour. Having English subs doesn't necessarily mean anything either since many K-pop groups' videos have English subs alongside them anyway I just feel you're maybe being a little too optimistic.
That last part kinda proves what my original point was though. Yeah they've performed American dates (2 to be exact) but that's it. Having an Asia tour plus two American dates is what qualifies as a world tour to most K-pop companies and it kinda bigs it up to be something it isn't not shading them because it's good they're performing in the US and they probably will again this time around, but let's be honest, it's basically an Asia tour with a couple NA dates. At this point there are many K-pop groups who've done the same and more and it's never amounted in any English material for them either.
for the record I'm not shading the space concept and I'm well aware of the empire they created with "FIRE" (and much prefer that to the street one)
but
y'all gotta admit they CLEARLY don't mind being thought of as "fun" more than "serious" with this one, which is totally fine (if not necessary) given how dark "Missing You" was
Uee was kinda lost but they slayed as usual. Hope they release the full single on itunes soon.
Queens something about the choreography seemed off to me like I feel like there was always one person kind of off but maybe that's just me. I need the B-side to hold me over till 'Dress to Kill'.
