None of her singles had the success Ariana's did though
Considering Tamar is an older R&B artist...obviously. That doesn't mean Ariana is automatically going to sell more albums than her. I think they're going to sell around the same amount tbh.

My point was your all underestimating Tamar. If iTunes is the only thing that matters then Tamar is only 10 spots behind Ariana and she's selling her album for full price while Ariana's is $7.99 which is surely helping her iTunes position. We'll see when the predictions come out...but I wish both girls success.

Also Ariana doesn't plug her music on Amazon. The only links she and her team ever share are from iTunes.
It helps that the fans of teen idols like Ariana and 1D are intensely involved in stan wars and being #1.

Not debut albums. Just look at Taylor Swift's/Luke Bryan's/etc. First albums never debut strong with country. The album will have amazing longevity if it's well received, but debut albums by country stars never debut high.
