Can I see a sales breakdown for Blackout? I honestly don't see how it could've sold that much.

Blackout was close to a million two years ago, I think.

Actually I'm not quite sure about Blackout's sales myself, it's probably one of her hardest albums to estimate because we haven't gotten updated figures in so long, so right now, I'd say it sold 1.23m between the US and Canada, 820k in Europe, 235k in Asia, 165k in Latin America, 110k in Oceania, 40k in Africa, and 120k as the errors margin. 2.75m seems more reasonable than 2.8m so I'm gonna update the OP with that.

WB must be at over 900k (or even more) but an update of her catalog wouldn't hurt, it's been over two years since Billboard updated her sales. They've updated the sales of every pop girl but Britney.

You think the album sold 210k in Canada?
Can you break European sales down? Thanks. You can take your time, though.

Nah, more like 200k. If I recall correctly, Blackout was at 175k-ish in Canada a few years back (around early 2009) and that was before she toured the country on two different occasions, so 35k sold in the past 5 years seems like a reasonable amount to me. The whole Blackout era did pretty well in Canada and it was one of the strongest markets for the album. Do you have any updated figures? I can't find anything else.
As for the European breakdown:
Quote:
United Kingdom: 300,000 (290,000 in 2010)
France: 100,000
Germany: 80,000 (75,000 in 2009)
Russia: 70,000 (60,000 in 2007)
Italy: 40,000
Ireland: 30,000
Belgium: 30,000
Sweden: 20,000
Spain: 20,000
Switzerland: 20,000
Denmark: 15,000
Netherlands: 15,000
Austria: 10,000
Portugal: 10,000
Norway: 10,000
Greece: 10,000
Turkey: 10,000
Finland: 8,000
Hungary: 6,000
Poland: 5,000
Czech Republic: 5,000
Other regions (Romania, Ukraine, Croatia, Slovenia, etc): 20,000
|
Total: 835,000

Good job. Blackout is 2x Platinum in Ireland though. I feel like I underestimated some markets like Switzerland and Austria, so your estimations for them are probably more accurate.
How much do you think it sold in Canada?

Thanks. Good job for your estimations also.
I have it in my archive that is 2xPlatinum, but I wasn't sure. Thanks.
I'm not sure tho.
It was certified for Platinum (shipments) in December 2007.
Chart run:
1(29,000)-5-9-14-20-14-22-20-5-8-9-10-16-22-31-39-30-34, ...
I think lowest estimation is 190k and highest 210k. Somewhere between that.

How did you get 35k for the Netherlands? Just curious, I know for a fact that it's literally her weakest market.
And yeah I agree with that. 200k seems reasonable imo.

In OP. You wrote that Blackout is Gold (40,000). I was little surprised because I thought 20k is reasonable. I'll change that.

It's okay.
I found few days ago some Jive(Zomba) file that provides Britney's certifications and highlights. It says that ...BOMT and OIDIA are 4xPlatinum in Germany.
Every certification so far that I found on that site is accurate and confirmed except those two.
...BOMT was certified for 3xGold in early 2000 and OIDIA 3xPlatinum in 2001. I wonder is that accurate certification?
In the end of file:

She has at least one #1 in all of the top 20 music markets sans India (I don't think they have a chart tho).
