This album is great, and with the subtraction of a few songs, it would’ve been damn near perfect. While the singles are obviously the best songs on the album (all four still knock to this day), there’s a lot to like on this album. Anyone who likes music from the genre or the time period should find something to love from this album.
Creep – Lyrically immoral but musically wonderful. The lead single from CSC is an R&B staple, one of those songs that any self-respecting fan of the genre knows by heart. And for good reason. – 10
Kick Your Game – Boring. – 5
Diggin’ On You – This song is just so… COOL (pun recognized though not intended). It shimmers and glides along effortlessly. It’s the perfect breezy summer track. – 10
Case of the Fake People – See Kick Your Game – 4
Red Light Special – This song brings the SEXY to another level. It starts off quietly and seductively, then the bridge (AND THAT GUITAR SOLO ) take you to heaven before the song comes back down and delivers you back to earth feeling oh so satisfied. – 10
Waterfalls – If there’s a quintessential 90s female R&B song, it’s this one. The soft horns in the background, the socially aware lyrics, the beautiful melody, and one of the most memorable choruses EVER! – 10
Let’s Do It Again – I never realized how many sexual songs there were on this album. It’s a cool song, though it’s nothing compared to Red Light Special. – 8
If I Was Your Girlfriend – This Prince cover is musically fine, but part of the appeal behind the original was the gender-bending mind f**king lyrics (and that CRAZY spoken outro). TLC doesn’t rework it so that it still retains that magic, but it’s still a bop nonetheless. – 9
Take Our Time – Keeping up the sexy, we have this song that allows Chilli a chance to shine. The groove is hypnotizing. – 8.5
Switch – Musically, this song SCREAMS 1994 and the lyrics SCREAM Stripped era Christina Aguilera, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a bad song. On the contrary, it’s quite good. – 8
Sumthin’ Wicked This Way Comes – I forgot that OutKast was in this song! They’re the highlight of the song for me. The rest of the song just doesn’t really register to me. – 6

Björk is fu**ing weird. This album goes full on electronica, pop appeal be damned. This no doubt alienates a lot of listeners, including myself. This is definitely an album that requires a couple of listens to fully set in. Even so, there are a couple of tracks that I loved immediately. I do respect her ability to somehow mix electronica music with all these damn string instruments.
Hunter – This song definitely sets the tone for the rest of the album (aka it’s nothing like her previous two albums). It’s spacy. The stuttering beat, the harmonies, the bassline, the almost white noisy sounds are just a lot to take in. – 6
Jóga – I can get into this song. It’s not quite as polarizing as the other songs. In fact, it’s kinda beautiful if you open your mind up a little. – 8.5
Unravel – I like the drawn out singing style that Björk uses for this song. It’s an easy song to get swept away in, even though there are some random effects that I don’t understand. – 7
Bachelorette – This song almost sounds like an epic. But WTF at that ending?! Wasn’t expecting it to end up sounding so antiquated. – 7
All Neon Like – For all of this song’s confusing sounds and cryptic lyrics, it’s actually my favorite on the album. Don’t ask me why. – 10
5 Years – This sounds like the best video game theme song ever. And that’s NOT an insult. – 8
Immature – The passionate vocals really stand out to me on this song, but that’s about it. – 7
Alarm Call – I love this song! For some reason, it reminds me of Big Time Sensuality from her debut. It sounds relatively straightforward. – 10
Pluto – This song probably was a hit on some other planet. I cannot imagine this song getting airplay anywhere on planet Earth (not that Björk gives a damn) but she did something right with this song. – 7.5
