It was Saturday night, October 27th, 2012. My mom was in the kitchen cooking. I was on the computer starting a science project I should have started 3 weeks earlier. My mom was hoping and praying that the storm wouldn't knock our power out, but it did. The whole block went dark - and the storm was CRAY.
The wind was BLOWING, tossing **** and tree branches around. The rain was sprinkling. The thunder was crashing. The sky was lighting up in bursts of green as lightning struck building. I thought The Lord was returning for a HOT second.
So we went to our friends' house and stayed the night there. The rest of that week without power, we went to people's houses and then came home and sat in the dark and listened to music. I had just discovered my parents' copy of Boyz II Men's
II in our attic the night before the storm hit. So I uploaded it to my iTunes and got my life for the following 6 days.
