It will definately get worse as he's playing a sexualized flaming hunk.

Dandy was like Prince Charming with the killer gene.

I never posted an "official" review, so much as I just spammed my feelings throughout the thread every day because that's what I do because my opinion is very important to everyone, obviously.

But anyway, I'll try to do one here...

I absolutely loved it.

Overall, it's my favorite premiere. It was full of absolute "WHAT THE ****" moments that were great with horror; it wasn't jump scares, which I think are tacky for horror things (unless they're done right), but just showing things that were so mind-bogglingly insane you couldn't help but stare and scream.

There isn't much I can complain about, event-wise, because no season had a plot fully spelled-out for them after the first episode. This episode reminded me a lot of Welcome to Briarcliff for some odd reason; I can't fully explain it, but it seems the most like it with how all over the place (yet how amazing) it was. But, like I said, none of the other premieres had any more or less plot explained than this one; people who disagree need to rewatch Bitchcraft and Welcome to Briarcliff and ignore what they already know and just look at JUST what's given in those episodes.

The fact that it's an ensemble cast is fantastic. I absolutely love that aspect of it. I know Ryan said it was a true ensemble before, and I was super hyped for that, but the more people went on and on about Gaga and her role, I was worried we were in for Gaga to have a Jessica-sized role and leave everyone else with barely any screen time (see: Freak Show), but I'm so glad that didn't happen. Not because I don't want Gaga as a lead (I'll explain my thoughts on her in a minute), but because this show having A lead, period, is bad for it. It gets boring having a central character when people are really interested in all the side characters, anyway. But the ensemble aspect is amazing, and I hope it keeps up that way.

As for characterization, I have nothing to complain about. I love every single character in so many different ways; the only person that's left me a little "meh" is Donovan, but I know there's more to come in the season so I can't complain. The only other character I feel a little "meh" on is Alex, but that's mostly because of Chloe's acting and I'll get onto that next.

Overall, I think absolutely everyone did a good job with their acting. Sarah is fantastic, and I need her to win an Emmy for this role, because it's high time she got one and her acting this episode alone shows how much she deserves one. Only two people (aside from the child actors, but I don't count them) felt a little sub-par with acting, and that was Gaga and Chloe. Chloe's doing the thing she did in Asylum where she overacted when she didn't need to; her acting was really bipolar, because she'd deliver one line perfectly and sound natural, and the next one would sound overdramatic and forced. I'll talk about Gaga overall next.

I'm impressed with Gaga's acting. I think she did a pretty good job overall, but her acting was definitely shaky at parts. Her physical presence and body language is her biggest asset; she embodies the Countess in a way that's definitely supposed to be done, and it's haunting and intriguing, but I'm not surprised that she's good at physical acting; one look at her music videos shows she's used to that and knows how to do it. The orgy scene was one of the best scenes I've ever seen in AHS, and her acting was on point in that, but she didn't utter a single line the entire scene. That's what I'm talking about. When she finally did talk at the end of the scene, her two lines were delivered extremely well and I was impressed with them; I thought, hey, she really can act. But her next lines-- in the scene with Will Drake-- were extremely shaky. She delivered "It's a little early for you, isn't it?" to Donovan well. But then as she talked to Will, she sounded pretty bad in my opinion, almost as bad as Taissa in both of her roles in the show. But she redeemed herself in the next scene with Lachlan, and her improvised line (aside from how tragic the accent was) was delivered well. Overall, I thought she did good considering how little experience she is, but it was far from great; she just doesn't have the skill, but it's definitely something she can learn. I don't think it's fair to say that she did a 10/10 job though, like some others have said. It's clear she's on a different level than the people around her, just from the fact that this is her first serious acting experience. But she can improve, and it does look like she does in the season preview.

Overall, I absolutely loved everything about this episode (aside from that one scene with the Countess & Will; that whole thing was a cringe-fest).

Anyway, I know this is short, but I just woke up. And HabbGa snatched my weave for the longest essay writer (I'm convinced he's mocking me with his essays cuz none of them make sense).

Heres the full interview for those that are interested, nothing new tho just about Gaga ha acting

Disclaimer: This has been translated from German to English. The translation might not be the actual things Gaga said to the interviewer since the original transcript is not available.

Interviewer: In the fifth season of AHS you play the horror-inducing Countess Elizabeth. This should come very easily to you.
Gaga: Hell no! I've never been so nervous before in my entire life. On the way to the set, I threw up in the car. Luckily, I had a plastic bag at hand.

I: You recovered quite quickly I assume.
G: I grew into the character quite quickly. Which means a lot to me. I can let out my dark side.

I: As a noble hotel owner, who is a vampire in reality.
G: I'm a monster, but a very glamerous one. I love Elizabeths intelligence, her wisdom and her sexual power. And that she seems very young and naive on the outside.

I: You have numerous sex scenes in the show. Were you nervous?
G: The first one came easy to me, but in the meantime I shot twelve sex scenes. The most difficult day was when John Travolta appeared out of nowhere on the set. I'm a huge fan and I was close to peeing myself.

I: You are a superstar in the music business. Where did your wish to cross over into acting come from?
G: I always wanted to be an actress and I took acting lessons for 10 years. My performance as "Lady Gaga" or "Elizabeth" don't really feel played to me though.

I: Do you identify with the sex-crazed bloodsucker?
G: She's isolated and lonely. I can empathize with her. I'm from a very catholic Italian family, where depression has been passed down from generation to generation. Mediaction, therapy and doctors were frowned upon. I felt lonely, but not because my parents let me down, it's a chemical in my brain. When I grew older, I started shutting out everybody and looked for freedom in my music.

I: How is your relationship with you parents nowadays?
G: We are very close. We could always rely on each other. My grand-parents were immigrants from Sicily. They had to work really hard for everything they have now. It was difficult, but it brought us closer together as a family.

I: How are your colleagues calling you on set? Gaga?
G: Most of the call me by my real name. Stefani or Stef. Of course I answer when somebody calls me Gaga as well. My father calls me "Loopy" and my lover calls me babe.

I: Lover? Aren't you engaged with actor Taylor Kinney? (Annotation: "lover" is synonymous in German with "(extramarital) affair")
G: He is both.

I: You are 29 years old and alread spent half of your life in showbiz. Don't you get tired?
G: Yeah, I do. Especially the last few years were really hard. Sometimes I feel really damn old. Like 100. But you'll always get wiser.

I: Wiser?
G: Wise enough to know that there are people who are completely narcissistic and only care about their own sh*t. Too many of us are addicted to their smartphones and forgot how to actually communicate with other people. Of course people should do what makes them happy. But we can't let society go downhill completely because everyone is just for themselves and nobody gets through to anybody.

I: Would you like to get more roles on TV - or even movies?
G: That would be my dream! It would help me too honestly. I'm rebellious by nature and it's good for me when there are limits for me and a director or script tells me what to do. It's like changing positions during sex. I don't wanna be on top all the time, I wanna get f*cked too. (laughs) It's very liberating. Because at the end of the day when I go home I'm back in control.
