Yes.
But annoying. I'd rather have him or Matt () leave than Jeremy.
Matt is useless, I wish him die soon Tyler is important because he play 2 sides - Klaus vs Delena - so he must be a key to change all the plans (from Klaus and Delena) and he will not die that soon
I'm worried about Alaric His ring is not powerful like it used to be
Excuse us while we scrape the remnants of our jaws off the floor and run out to grab another box of tissues.
The Vampire Diaries finally returned from its winter hiatus tonight and man, did it return in style. Then again, do you expect anything less from the CW drama that moves at break-neck speed and isn't afraid to cut loose a fan favorite character...like they did in "The New Deal." We wish we knew how to quit you, Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec. (Not really, please never leave us!)
Yes, one of our favorites has left Mystic Falls, leaving a fandom to mourn the loss of hotness. So will he be back? We have the answer! And it wasn't all tears and goodbyes: a fan favorite couple finally gave viewers something they've been waiting three seasons to see...
A Showstopping Kiss: It happened. It finally happened! After three seasons of build-up and sexual tension you could cut with a knife (seriously), fan favorite couple Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) finally kissed. And both parties wanted it! How far we've come from the season two premiere when Damon stole a kiss from Elena, no? Though it happened after a less than ideal situation (we'll get to that in a minute), the kiss was genuine and pure, signifying how far Damon and Elena have come, as friends and possible romantic partners. There's a real connection between the two, a support and comfort that both characters desperately need.
Now here's the question we pose to you: which couple's first kiss was better, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena's or Damon and Elena's?
Long, Jer: Yes, it's true: Jeremy Gilbert (Steven R. McQueen) made like Tom and Cruised from Mystic Falls, heading for Denver to stay with family friends. Why? Because everyone is finally realizing it's not safe for the eternally emo teen to stick around. Tyler (Michael Trevino) compelled Jeremy to take off his handy dandy ring and stand in front of a car (Not cool, Klaus!), but Alaric (Matt Davis) pushed him out of the way at the last minute, taking a car to the body in the name of protecting his dead ex-girlfriend's nephew. All together now: Aw! After killing a hybrid and dealing with far too much tragedy in such a short time, Jeremy knows it's time to leave, which is why he lets Damon compel him to forget everything. McQueen, Dobrev, Davis, Somerhalder, they were all superb in the scene. All the tears!
So could Elena's baby bro be gone from MF...for good? For now, the CW is keeping the details of when—or if— Jeremy's returning to town a secret. However, a solid source assures us that Jeremy (McQueen) will be seen again on the show soon, and although he may be off the series for a little while, he will not be gone forever. Relieved?
New Lady in Town: While Caroline's (Candice Accola) absence was certainly felt (Miss you, vampire barbie!), we have to say we're very intrigued by Dr. Fell, played by Torrey DeVitto, Wesley's real-life wife. Did you book fans happen to catch her first name? Yes, Meredith has finally made her grand entrance on the TV side of the TVD coin. While DeVitto's Meredith is much different than the book-version, we're curious to see if there will be any similarities. A connection to Alaric is a good start, right?[/quote
'The Vampire Diaries': Meet Dr. Meredith Fell! Torrey DeVitto brings a book character off the page
Tonight's (Jan. 5) episode of "The Vampire Diaries" introduced a new character to the series: Dr. Fell (Torrey DeVitto). Her appearance was brief, but readers of L.J. Smith's "Vampire Diaries" novels got a big surprise when she coyly told Alaric (Matt Davis), "The patients who follow my advice get to call me Meredith."
"It's something we've wanted to do for a while, for the book fans, to bring Meredith into this world," executive producer Julie Plec tells Zap2it. Of course, Meredith a key character in the novels, and some fans were dismayed when the TV series premiered to see that the character had been cut.
Plec and Kevin Williamson kept the idea of the character in mind. "The book fans have, for two and a half years, been screaming at the top of their lungs, 'Where's Meredith? Where's Meredith?'" Plec says. "Meredith was in our original pilot draft, but you have to do some editing and some streamlining when you take a project from book to TV, and Meredith was one of the victims of that streamlining."
Certainly, the Meredith who is introduced in the show is very different from the Meredith we know from the books. Some differences are obvious -- her name has been changed from Sulez to Fell, for one, but fans of Bonnie McCullough and Matt Honeycutt know that's sometimes a necessary evil. She's also a doctor, not a high school student. Despite the discrepancies, Plec assures us that book Meredith and show Meredith will share some key qualities. They share much more than a first name.
"In the books, Meredith is Elena's best friend from the beginning, and she has a very interesting, intriguing relationship with Alaric," Plec says. In fact, Meredith and Alaric do have a romantic relationship in the books. "It's fun to be able to take that character and expand her into a new possible love interest for Alaric, who of course has had his hard knocks. He deserves a little love in his life again."
Book Meredith is unique in that she's one character who is completely unaffected by Damon's charms -- in fact, she makes him a little bit nervous. Most of Meredith's scenes are with Alaric and Damon, so viewers can look forward to seeing just how Damon reacts to a little romance getting in the way of his bromance. "She's a Fell, so she's got a point of view about how to handle the vampire business in this town," Plec teases. We're sure Damon will be thrilled.
DeVitto herself has long been part of the "Vampire Diaries" family behind the scenes, as she's married to series star Paul Wesley. Plec tells us that Meredith won't be sharing scenes with Stefan right away, but Wesley is beyond thrilled just to have her around set in an official capacity.
"It makes Paul Wesley so happy," Plec laughs -- but she makes it very clear that casting DeVitto was by no means a favor to Wesley. "There is no nepotism here. In fact, he was so grateful that we wanted to give her the part, so he called to thank us. We were like 'Dude, we are not doing this for you. She's really good. We're doing this because Kevin and I love Torrey.' We didn't want him to think we were just trying to make our lead actor happy. Torrey read for Courtney Ford's role back in Season 3, so we've had our eye on her for a very long time. We're very excited to have her."
In the book she's a really good friend with Elena and ends up with Alaric.
Oh, I didn't know they ended up together.
I still can't. Jeremy's really gone. I thought this was just one of those decisions that won't have a huge effect because they aren't permanent anyway.
A fanatic made this cake during the mid-season premiere.
Kat Graham Teases 'TVD's' Next Big Shock!
Quote:
The Vampire Diaries returned with one of it's most jaw-dropping episodes to date last night as Bonnie & Stefan teamed up to keep Klaus' coffins hidden, Tyler continued to let the original vampire work him like a puppet, Elena went to shocking lengths to keep Jeremy safe and Damon finally said screw it when he laid a big, internet-shocking kiss on his modern day love. Delena fans had it trending on Twitter for 3 hours! To help make sense of it all and find out what's next for The CW's best show -- and one of TheInsider.com's 11 Best Shows of 2011. In fact, Vampire Diaries made every "Best Shows Of 2011" list. -- I caught up with Kat Graham to talk all about Bonnie's new partnership, and why it could spell doom for Mystic Falls' most fierce witch.
Insider.com: Last night's episode saw Bonnie have a prophetic dream. Is that a new "power?"
Kat Graham: It'll happen a little bit more of it in terms of trying to crack the code, which I think it so interesting because you see so much of the supernatural in the actual Mystic Falls world, but you don't really see it in terms of a subconscious way. I thought it was really cool that they gave Bonnie that.
Insider: It's the latest example of her forming an uneasy alliance with The Salvatore brothers. Why do you think she continues to team up with them when they've caused her so much personal pain?
Kat: I think that all Bonnie really wants to do is protect the greater good and because of that she's gone against so many of her instincts.
Insider: In this dream, she saw Klaus lying in the coffin that in reality can't be opened. How long will it remain sealed?
Kat: I can't say how long it will be but I can tell you that whatever is in that coffin is extremely important to the future of what's happening in Mystic Falls – and the show in general. There's a lot of weight to that reveal.
Insider: Suffice it to say, the reveal will be, in true TVD fashion, shocking?
Kat: So shocking. I thought that by season three they wouldn't be able to shock me anymore, but that has not been the case at all. It's always said that a third season is the best season, and in our case, that's so true. This year is so incredibly shocking. It's a mind f*** and I love it [laughs]. People will not believe what's coming and the degree of twists and turns with how they interlock the originals with other things and how their relationships with everyone in Mystic Falls is going to play out.
Insider: Last night didn't really deal with this, but where is Bonnie's head at in terms of Jeremy after the whole Anna thing?
Kat: If you really love somebody, I don't think you could ever get over a pain like that and I think Bonnie was opening herself up to him, in spite of her trust issues [laughs]. So I think it was devastating for her. I also think she knows that Jeremy is young and people make mistakes, so it's half and half.
Insider: In next week's episode, titled Our Town, Bonnie finds out Elena had Damon compel Jeremy into leaving Mystic Falls. How does she react?
Kat: It's shocking – I don't know if I can say that she's happy or sad about [him leaving], it's a lot of mixed emotions. Which I like. She kind of wanted him to leave town because of everything that happened but now that he's gone, she's sad. It's that thing where you want something to happen but when it does, you're no longer sure you wanted it to happen. If anything, she's more shocked by Elena's choice to compel Jeremy to leave. Her reaction to that is very interesting.
Insider: Caroline's birthday is the big event in next week's episode and the group throws her a birthday party in a tomb. Whose idea was that?
Kat: [laughs] It wasn't Bonnie’s idea! It wasn't Bonnie’s idea! She's not that creepy. But I will tell you that it's a very cool location we've never filmed in before and it's important that people pay attention. You should pay attention to everything on this show because it always circles back into play somehow.
Insider: What else should people look out for next week?
Kat: What I love next week is the way Caroline was written. Her take on being a vampire is something that hasn't been explored and I love how [co-creator] Julie Plec chose to explore being a young adult as a vampire and that transition. It's so genius how she so subtlety did it – there's so much depth to it.
Insider: Whenever The CW sets up a big round of phoners for you, it's because Bonnie is quickly put in a life or death situation. Safe to say that's the case here?
Kat: I love that she's always in danger of dying. Half of me doesn't want to be killed off the show, but I want people to be nervous – I don't want anyone to get comfortable with the mortality of these characters. I love my fans and I love this show, but because of her fearlessness and self-sacrificing nature, it doesn't have to be a killer that takes her out. It could be herself.
Insider: If Bonnie does die, is that how you'd like her to go out?
Kat: I would prefer a big, huge, blow-out self-sacrificial death. That's who she is. Bonnie is a powerhouse character and if it were to come to death one day, I would hope it was a choice she made to die.
Vampire Diaries airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.

Because I can never have enough, any scoop on Bonnie? #TVD — Jenna
First, can we take a beat to recognize the epic-ness of last night’s episode? Second, you know that coffin dream that proved to be more accurate than initially thought? There are more of those to come. “I love that they brought in that aspect of her, because a lot of the stuff that Bonnie experiences in terms of being a witch is very external and all about doing a spell and a lot of physicality,” says Kat Graham. “I’m all about the mind, so the fact that they basically are shooting the character in kind of a parallel universe [in those dreams] is super exciting to me and definitely one of my favorite things that they’ve done this season with her.” This isn’t the first time Bonnie has had premonitions. In season 1, a vision predicted when Coach Tanner died, but since then, we haven’t had any more indicators of her future-telling abilities. “Now it seems like they’re evolving it into more actual dreams or visions in her sleep,” Graham adds. And per EP Julie Plec, “Her dreams are all leading her somewhere.”
Webclip for Our Town (EP311)
The CW has released a web clip for next week’s episode of The Vampire Diaries, Our Town (EP311), airing January 12th. This one features Elena and Bonnie.

Matt has taken the role of Xander, from Buffy, except Xander has brilliant observation watching from the outside. Matt should try to bang Katherine since he can't bang Elena Well, I guess he could, you never know with these writers.
