They just released the wrong tracks. I Do Not Hook Up was definitly not her strongest choice. And All I Ever Wanted as a single? LOL
Looking at how What Doesnt Kill You is doing, I think My Life Would Suck Without You should have been the second single. |

yeah I think she should have kicked off with Already Gone too. So she could have got in there before Halo

I've actually been thinking of this lately. I used to think If I Cant Have You should have been the single instead of I Do Not Hook Up but I've changed my mind.

I feel like the season argument is so BS, unless it's like a party summertime song like California Gurls or Party Rock Anthem. Kelly doesn't do those kinds of songs anyway.
A good pop song will catch on regardless of season, and Dark Side is a great song.

I think her third single will be released more around April. That's when the first leg of her tour ends isn't it? She'll have no chance to promote until then or after while she's overseas.

You guys, why are we only considering LMD, IFY and DS? I think Let Me Down and Dark Side would do well as singles (IFY not so much in its current state, as the chorus is really bland, imo).
Don't Be A Girl About It - Could do really well on pop. I think it could be her summer hit because the video for it would be so much fun! The song is typical Kelly but the lyrical content is different (its not the typical break up song) and it sounds fresh. Cons are: people might get annoyed at the oooh oooh ooohooohs. It might not do as well on Hot AC or AC either, but I think it is the catchiest song after WDKY so sales could be great.
Alone - It's SO DAMN CATCHY. The chorus is in your face, the instrumental sounds really fresh as well and I think it could do well on Pop/Hot AC and AC, but the thing is, until the bridge, the song is so generic. Critics will write it off as another Kelly I-Hate-Men song. I wish it had a different title and that the verses were a little more original.
The Sun Will Rise - I think this could be another AG type number, with great longevity. Out of all the choices, it has the best potential for crossing over: Pop, Hot AC, AC AND Country. Breaking Your Own Heart also has this feature, but SWL is a mid-tempo, and so will do better on radio (I think) than a ballad.
HOW I THINK SINGLES SHOULD GO:
3: Dark Side - People thought 'Because of You' couldn't do well, but look at it's success. I think DS has a good chance, as long as it's treated properly. It needs good timing for its release, so as to still ride the hype of WDKY and not let the momentum of the album die. It needs a beautiful, inspiring video as well. I choose it for single three because I think it needs the promo that shows like American Idol and the Voice can provide (which I believe are on right now, right?) It's also one of the best-written songs on Stronger (subjective, but I think most people agree).
Dark Side will be the single from the end of March until mid-May.
4) Let Me Down - Who says the summer smash has to be a happy, cheerful song? I think LMD is such a catchy song. It has an updated edge on Kelly's pop/rock signature sound. Kelly's voice sounds so silky smooth in the verses and just BOMBS on the choruses. Could do well on Pop, Hot AC and AC. I feel like it could be as big as BTHE. Kelly said herself, LMD is like BTHE's older, rockier sister :P If not, then DBAGAI is an option for summer as well, but I think LMD would have more of an impact and appeal to a wider audience.
5) Sun Will Rise - MASSIVE CROSSOVER WAITING TO HAPPEN on Pop, Hot AC, AC and Country. Release this early fall and let it ride into winter. It will pull in those Christmas sales with a unique, inspirational video and performances on X Factor etc.
