And does everything need to be reported? This isn't kindergarten.
That's fair No need to be hostile.
No - if I had it my way, nothing on this site would be reported aside from actual crimes (piracy, child ****, etc.) but since things are reported on this site, there is NO REASON why we shouldn't treat every thread equally. If a rule-breaking post is on this thread, it should be treated just as one would in a base or news thread.

Just weird that any millennial (assuming you are) would vote for Johnson when he takes such stances. It's actually sad. I thought we were more informed as a generation than this, specifically on climate change.
I said moderate libertarian. I believe the Gov. has no right to limit corporations and am a strong believer in free-market capitalism. Now, of course, there are some limits. The government has a duty to protect the life and liberty of everyone - so breaking monopolies, allowing discriminated groups to freely shop without fear of rejection (ie: gays buying a wedding cake from evil fundamentalist Christians) etc. is all a duty of the government. I believe that the Gov. shouldn't interfere much with the economy - but should interfere when it regards the life and liberty of the citizens.
I believe in socialized healthcare because our Gov. has a right to defend the life of the citizens.
I do not believe in socialized roads, schools, etc. for a variety of reasons you can find dozens of pages back. We had a really great discussion on schools back there that brought out all the good arguments from the voucher side, the public side, the charter side, and all forms in-between back there. Anyways, I believe in charter schools replacing the public system based on my state's amazing results from charters.
I'm also against war and military involvement unless we have been attacked. I am against our troops staying in Korea, Afghan, etc. but am for the war on ISIS since they are an actual threat and have indirectly attacked us.
So by the three candidates I much prefer Johnson to Trump and Hillary.

we should accept that giving government jobs to potentially unqualified people in exchange for their donations is worthy of criticism. now was it Hillary who was offering these jobs? But these are deeply rooted problems that wouldn't be solved by electing Donald
and as someone else stated, this type of corruption has always been happening and i'd rather deal with the status quo rn than with the alternative.
The taking of money from Saudi governments I dont see the problem with tbh. Unless they influence her foreign policy which I havent seen any evidence of.
I'd support Gary if he stood a chance in the general or if there wasn't a possibility that a chunk of pot Hill voters voting for him would lead to scenario with Trump in the wh
Hillary Clinton is garbage, though. Most moderates are, like Obama
Idk, I think moderates are better than the extremes. I'd rather have a million Jeff Flakes than Ted Cruzs, for example.
Obama was okay in the end - he def improved in his second term but I'm still not a fan of him. I think his healthcare didn't go far enough and his foreign policy is terrible. Clinton though, was a mistake for the Democratic party (but looks like the greatest choice ever compared the the terminal mistake of Trump for the Reps)
I started out my debate career as a far left liberal (alongside most people in debate) but over time I became more and more accustomed to finding flaws in liberal political philosophy since it was so common and wound up in the T200 debaters for essentially going against the curve. Over time this made me more economically conservative in my views. Plus, living in Arizona, which I believe to be one of the greatest red states, has influenced my views quite a bit.
First they're equating the gun comment to the Orlando shooter being at a Hillary rally.
Then, they straight up LIE that the people in his spot are "hand selected." And then they additionally claim that he, a private citizen, shouldn't even have been allowed at the rally.

My greatest fear if Gary doesn't get into the debates is that he'll take more votes from Hillary than Trump. If he's in the debates - I don't care because I believe he will win. But if he isn't, then I fear that he might take essential votes from Hillary in places like Florida and Ohio.

Good lord.
Are they really
CNN is such a big mess. Like they're the moderates, but they're the dumbest.
MSNBC is just a big opinion piece. Fox has social conservatives
Hillary Clinton is garbage, though. Most moderates are, like Obama
If you want to talk garbage, we can talk about how our only prominent far left party has ruined its own movement and gone off the deep end, ex. platform amendment proposal 835.
Woo, can't wait to have them back in the White House. The country needs this.
People like you with your harmful ideologies and not caring about blatant corruption are the problem and are the reason why so many people support Trump. It's just sick

I prefer the situation where we have no Ted Cruz's at all.
Obama is the lesser of two evils when compared to Clinton.

I'm economically conservative, but there are things that are just too important for me to overlook. I took Johnson seriously as a candidate. I literally agreed with him on nearly everything up until the point where he stated that the government should not intervene in climate change. That means that corporations don't have any regulations and can therefore feed as much pollution into the air as they like, not thinking about the community around them in the short-term, and the long-term affects for our global community and the planet.
It seems to me that even after all the warnings about climate change, people are still willing to overlook it and put it to the back of their minds when it comes to politics. That's why I said I thought the millennial generation was better than this. We are the future. We need to understand the importance of government intervention with regards to climate change. We need to elect officials who will do something about it. That's why it's so very very sad to hear you say that the government shouldn't intervene. You seem smart, so I'm genuinely confused as to why you would support someone who has stated such things. It suggests to me that Johnson would be a sucker for the rich and powerful, and not a man for the middle-class. He would be a Wall Street darling. I thought that was the main reason people hated Hillary. Genuinely confusing.
By the way, I don't know if you're aware, but Hillary is actually quite fiscally conservative. She's just hasn't been able to pivot the center this election due to the uprising from Bernie supporters. She's had to go into the GE with a more progressive platform to get their support. Unfortunately, she's now losing fiscally conservative people like you because of it, who are willing to forego the importance of climate change to elect someone who aligns with you economically. Sad situation.
Gosh, the notion of Obama being "evil" or at all anything less than a stellar President. Actually makes my stomach churn. I don't understand it at all.

Yeah but we both know that'll never happen We'll always have a Ted Cruz on the Reps side, a Sanders on the Dem side, and a Peterson on the Libs side
And oh yeah I'd elect Obama ten times if it meant we didn't have Hillary.

This is also true.. But doesn't change the fact that in the end, Trump will be detrimental to the world whereas Hillary would only worsen the status quo.

Oh the Green Party is flawed for sure, and the more I hear Jill speak the more I realize how unreasonably idealistic her promises are. And y'all tried throwing the unrealistic card at Bernie.

I mean, from the perspective of an Israeli American can you blame me? Going from our most pro-Israel president to our most anti-Israel president hurts me and my family a lot.
Also, his healthcare plan - because it didn't go far enough - hurts a lot. Since Obamacare, my family's medical bills have gone up by hundreds. It hurts the lower middle class a lot and only really helps the poorest of the poor. Healthcare should be either entirely free market (impossible due to Roosevelt 2) or entirely public. Mixtures are BAD and hurt everyone.
