Masha can't do that much with her service action due to her shoulder, no? She's always "experimenting" with it but it stays the same.
She always blames her shoulder, but honestly from my honest point of view, it's her growth spurt that really deteriorated her serve, and her entire game. She had a fluid serve back in 2006, when she was 19 and didn't have the height that she has now. So even when she's 6'1 now, she's still serving with the same technique as she did when she was shorter.
Now you may be asking, what about Raonic, and Isner's serves are good, well I think it's because their serves works well for tall people like them. But Maria has been serving one way, and it doesn't work well for her height anymore. You're 6'1, would you wear pants that are designed for 5'9?
She needs to have a serve like Wawrinka, lower ball tall, but very fast on impact. And it works well. He's 6'0.
The problem with Maria is that her ball toss is too high, which leads her to "suspend" her motion a little slower because she has to wait a little longer for the ball to come down for impact, and that causes her to TENSE a lot. And I think it's because her legs aren't as flexible, maybe?
You may disagree with me on this, as I'm not a tennis expert, NOT EVEN a tennis analyst. So I don't know my tennis jargon and what not.
Petra is the heir to Serena Williams. Everyone thought it was gonna be Vika, especially in 2012, but the thing with GOATs are, if they are playing their best, no one can beat them. Seles, Graf, Navratilova, and Serena all proved that.
When Kvitova is peaking, no one can challenge her (except for 34 year old Venus on grass ). Even Sharapova peaking can lose, like to Serena
Tell that to Vika and her winning streaks in 2012 and 2013
And the tight matches Vika and Serena have played, with only 2 tight matches in the Kvitova-Serena head to head
Kvitova is a young Kuznetsova She won't be winning anymore grand slams.
I read somewhere she can hit with the motion she used as a teen but it causes a lot of pain. Her awkward motion is apparently to protect the injury while still having a functional serve.
It's such a shame as it was the core part of her game back in the day. The fact she's still relevant is testament to her resolve IMO.

I watched all the videos you posted and I agree with you but this is simply not true, she completely redone her way of serving, when she came back after the first shoulder operation (2008), she was making approx. 10 DF each match, it was horrible but she got used to it.
I think she had her shoulder operated twice so I guess that it's hard to think of a way to change the serve. It must've been extremely hard to change it the first time, you serve your whole life like that and then suddenly you need to make it completely different. It's funny each tennis player has their own style of serving.

Taller guys are always mainly serve-bots tho.

Well, I'm a tennis coach and a retired pro and couldn't have said it better about Sharapova's serve.
Her main issue is ball toss indeed. Her timing is way off and her shoulders rotation is often non existent which is a key to players this tall.
