 I get exactly what you're saying. It's been like that for me sometimes.
Emotionally speaking, Madonna will always be my #1 100% fave. Mathematically speaking, she's less than half of the music I listen to currently. The rest is split between the other faves in my sig and profile. 

 Right now I'm listening to a lot of Tina Turner and Robyn's Body Talk album.
It's always been that I discover or re-discover artists and albums, then I dive in and immerse myself in an artist's discography, or the history of an album or era, I listen to the same handful of songs until I wear them out, and then I move on.
With me it's always a revolving door of music, but it always comes back around to Madonna. As an amateur film historian, I've been that way with movies and with books as an avid reader. 
Dive in, soak it up, file it away for future use.
