I've always wanted to get into the one piece manga, but is it worth it? 
I'm definitely not bothering with the anime LOL

apparently it gets even more ****ed up in arcs 4-6, the anime only covered the first three.
a season two needs to happen!! it will probably come out after steins;gate 0 
I need that world-building, politics and Emilia's long-awaited character backstory/development.

Read Berserk, much better plot, national treasure of japan, best manga of all time, quality > quantity etc etc...

I'm a fast reader so I think I'll skim through a couple of volumes of One Piece and see if I like it, all I know about the series is that they're pirates 
Berserk is a masterpiece   I binge-read the first two volumes in one night. I need to get on that. Too bad it gets updated irregularly

Berserk is a masterpiece indeed!! too bad we will never see the end of it
OP is a great manga! its a great adventure story! With beautiful and well thought plot, great characters, comedy and touching moments! it becomes amazing during the Arlong Park arc have this in mind....

That is so true, I mean but at least there's more hope for Berserk to have an ending compared to HxH nnn Also Oda and his team seem very dedicated to it!
I'll definitely check out OP. I'm excited to see what all the fuss is about, seeing as though it's so successful

I'm putting Working on hold. (I have a no-drop policy for anime.) It's just not as funny as the original series. I distinctly remember the first season of the original was much stronger and funnier. I'm already sick of the rich-girl/poor-boy antics, that wasn't funny from the first episode. The only good ones characters the leads and Kisaki, the rest are just there.
Also caught up on some manga recently. Go and read Jitsu wa Watashi Wa, Kono Oto Tomare, and Mahoutsukai no Yome. All three are brilliant. 
(Don't watch the Jitsu wa Watashi Wa anime, it's awful and ruins everything good about the manga. The Mahoutsukai no Yome anime is a prequel, you won't understand anything that's happening until you read at least 4 volumes.)

Yeah I agree. But she was an awesome character, so it's okay. There was probably some reason I didn't catch as to why she likes Kaji so much...or maybe it was just because he was a daddy

From my experience, if you're still teenager, you would think One Piece and other mainstream shonens are good
Once you' get older than 20, start reading more mature stuffs like seinen (Berserk, Vinland saga, Gantz, etc...), you would think about One Piece like "How the **** can I did read this kind of half assed **** before?". They're not even "dumb but entertaining", just plain lame and stupid  Some other shonens like One Punch Man or Kingdom is still fine, they has good action and intense interesting story
