Does anyone else feel like Gaga's songwriting is so much better and more accessible this time around? Sans songs like Applause, I feel like ARTPOP's songs are going to have more appeal. I really like that "pack your bags and we can chase the sunset" lyric.

Sex Dreams' lyrics are also really fun.

Opposite for me. Sex Dreams is the only song that impressed me lyrically, and Manicure is cute because it reminds me of The Fame Gaga. The rest all have these cringe worthy lines thrown in.

I think her song writing has gotten worse. It was clever on TF, amazing on TFM, and then BTW was such a hot or miss (either wonderful lyrics or horrendous lyrics). AP seems to be the same--songs like Aura are complete perfection, but the rest of the songs have some terrible lyrics (Swine especially, and IWBWY)

Lyrically, she jumped the shark for me ever since BTW. She still serves at times though, when she doesn't try too hard to pander to the monsters, see TEOG, Heavy Metal Lover, Sex Dreams.
