I listened to the whole album last night and so far I think Beyonce is a lot better. The songs on Beyonce were experimental but they were still amazing. On Lemonade the songs are kind of meh and they don't really go anywhere. I'm hoping this album will grow on me.
Oh wow. The Lemonade movie is extremely boring. So are the songs, especially the poppy ballads. I'm gonna listen to the album after this movie so I can focus on the record itself.

I love every song. Every song. The story she tells from beginning to end takes you on a journey. I feel her pain. I feel her anger. I feel her forgiveness. I feel her spirituality.
I was just commenting to a friend last week that I miss when albums were a cohesive work of art that told a singular story. The last one I could recall was Destiny's Child's 'Destiny Fulfilled'. Each song flows into the other telling a singular (collective) narrative. LEMONADE does the same, with more depth and rawness.
That's a pretty intense role to be playing in a music video... Specially for Bey.
