Unless she has a new single other than Gimmie Dat coming out before the album, she should just release the album August 17th. Gimmie Dat isn't gonna sell her album and she'll flop harder in October than she would August 17th. I really wished the best for her, but I think it's safe to say this will be a bigger failure than Fantasy Ride. It just sucks because she has the talent, looks, everything.

Again, if she has another single that's better than Gimmie Dat or even Ride, things could turn around, but it just doesn't seem probable. If she had a HUGE song she would've released it by now. Maybe she's still trying to record a hit.....

I have confidence this album will do better than Fantasy Ride. Ride is a bigger hit than anything from FR IMO. It's got the most consistent digital numbers, airplay, & longetivity. If GD is promoted correctly, it could be huge.

It will sell her albums...just not a lot. What is it Pop? I'm assuming it's supposed to be her pop single. Anyway look at the HUGE pop hits of this year and last. They are #1 on the Hot 100 for WEEKS, seeling hundreds of thousands of downloads each week and their albums don't usually sell THAT much. Gimmie Dat doesn't sound like a huge hit imo. Maybe if she released it with a video around the time Ride was at or nearing its peak, the album could hit 80k first week, but the album is coming out way too late. Ride will be off the charts by then.

I could be wrong and I hope I'm wrong.. I'll be back when Kanye's album leaks or some major Ciara news/single comes out..whichever comes first.

These babies around here cry about everything if you don't say something positive about their favorites. I don't know why you automatically get points when someone reports you. It's like the mods don't even give the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not sure if "Gimmie Dat" can compete with these songs in the top 20. They all almost sound the same and this track is so different. I hope they get the single started and then it'll change my mind. It's not like Ride... where it can sit in the dust and spider-web and just rise slowly each week.

I think the song is perfect for her second single. It's so Ciara, so it could sell her albums. And the "Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie" chorus is ****ing addictive. Plus, the song is like fast, super fast and it's just amazing. Can't explain the feeling it gives me. But I think it could be her biggest Hot 100 hit since 2005, especially if it comes with one of her groundbreaking videos and we see what those can do for her singles (see her soon to be 13th Top 40 hit "Ride").

But most of all, her label has to actually promote the song too.
