Come on, we all know Bieber's team bought the necessary copies to beat 1D
It's so obvious

There is nothing shady about it. he had the bigger hits, the better music & the better promo. Most people said from the start that Justin was going to beat 1D, and now it's not even remotely close.

You do realize that most of Justin's sales are coming from digital
And that he had 3 sold out staple centers which would add an extra 60k+ sales
Just because you guys lost doesn't mean you guys can come w/ your fabrication that they bought copies.
Stop being sore losers, where's the logic w/ you one direction fans thinking that there's only ONE target out of many spread out that because yours shows he was fully stocked that others weren't or that there isn't many other places to purchase the album like idk ITunes, Amazon etc
This is just getting embarrassing so have a seat, and watch as Purpose is #1 on the BB200 this week.

That honestly just helps my statement
The only embarrasing thing are the the +60k free albums

Also, 1D had the 4 album cover deal so of course there physical sales would go by quicker as fans are going to want to purchase all 4 covers rather than buy it digitally
Let's use logic for once.

It actually doesn't help your case?
One second it's "one direction are easily going to dethrone him, he should push back his date if he were smart"
To fast forward a couple weeks "he's only beating them because his team bought copies"
As if he isn't doing better on all fronts including streaming, ai, single sales etc.
You guys are so transparent, and butt hurt.

Directioners being sore losers....who didn't see that coming?. Do they know it is impossible to buy albums by bulks and BB counts them as 1 album.
Are we going to blame Scooter for Justin outselling 1D these past few days in the UK too? Yesterday he outsold 1D by 4k he sold 9k while they sold 5k. Next week he is expected to outsell them too. Such sore losers they were so cocky last week and writing about how he has no chance but now the numbers show it wasn't even a close contest he just scalped them... he is now called a cheater?
While in their home - country 1D is expected to be beat him with 3k while in the US Justin is expected to outsell them by about 80k-100k. While he will gets3 top 5 songs at the UK 1 being number 1. Justin won this era compared to 1D.

i wasnt just talking about their individual covers-those sold out in hours-im talking about their deluxe edition as well & not just 1 store & not just target

& 1D has sold out the staples center 4 shows in 1 tour & the Rose bowl almost 3 sold out shows on one tour & those were at regular ticket prices on their tour not $20 tickets with a free album
so i dont get ur point

You visited three targets, and that is somehow suppose to represent the entire US, okay?
The album wasn't free, you could have the option of purchasing a ticket for $18 or add an extra $4 to get w/ the album bundle and since it's above BB is rule of no album under $3 would count these counted towards his first week sales.
At least do your research, you just look super bitter and pressed calling his team out on "buying copies" there's nothing fishy going on it's just you guys are easily simple minded and are clearly unaware of the many outlets to purchase the album.
It's time to step into current times

& im done here
u guys enjoy ur #1 he deserves it for giving his album out for free
@1D for selling so much better than their last album & proving everyone wrong yet again & showing that they are even better without zayn & selling so many copies without having to resort to such desperate tactics im so proud of them
their best album by far

Even if we exclude the deal, he would still be leading ahead of them but continue showcasing how pressed you are by the hidden subliminals because if memory serves me right you were one of the posters claiming he should push back his release to save face now that he's outdoing them on all front he's "cheating"
He deserves the #1 because he's worked harder, and clearly his music is showing GP interest hence his predictions going up and there going down because they're only dependable on their FB.
Have a nice evening, you've failed to make any solid points once again pertaining to Justin.
And we will enjoy it seeing as being #1 is better than being second rate

I do wish Liam leaked those nude photos too tho.
That would be a Big boost to their sales.
Anyways, both did great for sure. Congrats.

Justin Bieber vs. One Direction: Neck-in-Neck for No. 1, But Will Digital Sales Tip the Scales?
As of press time, Purpose, released by Def Jam, is projected to reach 450,000 units in sales with another 100,000 in TEA (or track-*equivalent albums, whereby 10 individual downloads of songs from an album equal one album unit) and SEA (or stream-equivalent albums, whereby 1,500 streams equal one album) anticipated for a total of 550,000 units. Meanwhile, One Direction's Made in the A.M. is expected to scan about 425,000, with potentially another 50,000 consumption-equivalent units for a total of 475,000.
As for traditional retailers, Target offered *customers five different One Direction album covers. As a result of that *marketing tactic, Made in the A.M. outsold Purpose (81,000 to 28,000 units) in sales gathered over Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the discount chain. 1D and Bieber were neck and neck at Walmart, where Bieber sold 22,000 units to the band's 19,000.
At iTunes, Bieber scanned 270,000 units during the weekend, versus 190,000 One Direction downloads. A week earlier, 1D was in the lead, with 170,000 in preorders during a six-week availability period, while Bieber had 110,000 in a three-week period. Usually, artists with shorter preorder windows have a bigger lift during the debut week, but the one experienced by Bieber is greater than anticipated.

So basically, Bieber didn't win anything.
