The Miseducation is an awesome album. Not overrated in the slightest. I love how she teaches lessons about love using her own love life and mistakes as well as interjections from kids who may have some misconceptions about romance. Flawless blend of Hip Hop and R&B and Neo-Soul too.
We've reached our top 10!!!! In case you didn't already know, these are the albums left in play:
Jagged Little Pill
Ray of Light
Daydream
The Velvet Rope
The Bodyguard OST
janet.
Erotica
CrazySexyCool
Homogenic
Butterfly
Any predictions on the final outcome?
Why is daydream , CrazySexyCool and the bodyguard soundtrack top ten??? They don't deserve to be that high. But either Homogenic, TVR, or ROL will take the top spot. Illmatic and OK Computer should have been in the top ten.
In order of personal preference:
1. Erotica
2. Homogenic
3. The Velvet Rope
4. Ray of Light
5. Butterfly
6. CrazySexyCool
7. Janet.
8. Jagged Little Pill
9. Daydream
10. Bodyguard OST
actually even though its predictable most of these albums are enjoyable.

Quote:
Obviously, this album sold as well as it did off the strength of Whitney’s material (which is why it’s known as her album). The six Whitney tracks all rank among the best in her (shaky) catalogue. Vocally, she sounded free and capable of doing damn near anything. Her way of singing often told a story, and these six tracks are perfect examples of it. One can only imagine if there were six other songs on this album of the same quality.
I Will Always Love You – This cover is waaayyyy better than the original. Dolly’s was cute, but Whitney’s arrangement and vocal performance take it to an entirely different level of passion and intensity. This is THE song to beat in terms of modern day female vocals AND commercial success. – 10
I Have Nothing – Probably my least favorite on the album, but it’s still great. – 8
I’m Every Woman – This is another one of those rare examples where a cover is done just as well as an original. Whitney sounds liberated and FREE on this song, and I KNOW the queens of the 90s went around singing Whitney’s version when they thought no one was looking. My favorite Whitney Houston song. – 10
Run To You – The MOR adult contemporary tracks should’ve gotten boring by this point (3 of the first 4 songs), but the subtlety in the beginning, the huge climax, and the come down just feel like a great orgasm. – 10
Queen of the Night – This song is the closest Whitney ever came to hypersexual. It’s cute and campy. – 8
Jesus Loves Me – It’s a bit ironic that this song comes directly after Queen of the Night, but it works. Whitney always sounded best when doing gospel influenced numbers. – 10
