The color blue, especially in American culture, represents depression and sadness. It can represent tranquility, relaxation, and peace. People relax more around blue. This color is one of trust, honesty and loyalty. It is sincere, reserved and quiet, and doesn't like to make a fuss or draw attention. It hates confrontation, and likes to do things in its own way. From a color psychology perspective, blue is reliable and responsible. This color exhibits an inner security and confidence. You can rely on it to take control and do the right thing in difficult times. It has a need for order and direction in its life, including its living and work spaces.
In this trinity, I’m showing off three representations of the color blue which embodies its symbolism of sadness in three different aspects of life.
The sky represents calmness. It gives us the peaceful feeling as we try to take a glance of it. But somehow and someway, it also gives us the sensation of sadness. It may not look obvious but it actually is. Here’s an example scenario….
On a one windy day, you decided to walk around a wide plain field. It turns out to be a great decision because it leads you in the discovery of a very big part of the world. You noticed the sky and decided to take a glimpse of it and began to appreciate its beauty and its calmness. The brightness it carries gives you an atmospheric feeling and a spacious mind. You started to feel quiet of the surrounding and to feel a bit curious about it which leads you to wondering what’s actually behind that blue sky. Because of your curiosity, questions randomly popped out on your mind. The relaxing sensation of the earlier feeling turned into a very uncomfortable one. Because you didn’t satisfy your undying curiosity, you then began to feel depressed which leads you into a suffocating sad being.
In this representation of blue, if affects much your mind. It navigates your mind to think up different scenarios and pictures inside your brain but all of a sudden, everything will be burned out by just a single snap. There will be no sadder than to see something that you’ve worked hard for has been paid off dust.
Flowers have many representations such as beauty and love. It also symbolizes romance which is why it is mostly used as a gift of a man to a woman or vice versa which keeps their desires burning for one another. But in some other way, the flame it creates is not on its natural colour. It turns to be somewhat blue which is to believe that is hotter than any typical fire. Through flower’s fiery symbolism, we can also feel the sadness to it. Here’s an example scenario….
Flowers usually are in different colours. But let’s just focus on the blue ones. As you wander around a beautiful garden, you started to notice something cool and amazing. You discovered a bunch of wonderful blue garden flowers. You started to feel the romantic feeling as it upbeats your heart to a higher sensation. You started to smell it and make you more energized of the feeling. But as the blueness of the flower strikes your pumping heart, your body starts to tremble. Your teary eyes began to drop its tears throughout the ground. You somehow become sad. You realized that you’re just alone there. No one shares the same feelings as you do. The up beating heart before turns into a cold stony heart as it leaves you stagnant in just one place. Your body refused to move due to so much sadness that you feel.
In this representation of blue, if affects much your body. It controls your heart to experience different feelings such as excitement, romance, and finally sadness. With that sadness, your heart began to slow down which results to an immobilized body.
The sea best represents the direction of one’s life. The waves symbolize the flow of our lives and the sea itself symbolizes the wideness of the possible ways our lives would turn out. By simply looking at the sea, we can easily think of the word adventure. Through adventure, we will be able to find ourselves, our true identity, and our happiness. But with the blueness of the sea, we might also feel the sadness as we encounter different trials in our adventure. Here’s an example scenario…..
Because of stress, you decided to take a vacation. You went to a beach and noticed the peacefulness of the sea. Due to its expanding sight and attention getting presence, you are eager to have a great exploration into the deepest and farthest part of the sea. You decided to sail all by yourself. As you reached the middle part of your journey, the feeling of self-seeking, soul-seeking, and happiness-seeking has been restored. You started realizing that having a peace of mind and being just by yourself turns out to be the greatest idea to feed your soul with happiness and truth. Comparing yourself to the flow of the sea might be a good idea as you think. You look at the blue sea, and then you look farther. You began thinking that the wideness it bears will give a higher possibility of you being lost. You feel discouraged and the fighting spirit inside of you started to burst out of your body. With no idea of where are you going, you began to feel the sense of no exact direction in life just as the waves of the sea. You lost your soul, you lost your hope, and you lose everything. Misery has covered up your entire being. Due to that, you feel sad and realized that you’ve just added so much stress in your spiritual and mental aspect.
In this representation of blue, if affects your body, mind, and mostly the soul. It operates your mind to blind side the positive area of a wonderful experience and just transmits the negative vibe out of it. The body started to response and give stress to your spiritual feeling. The soul inside of you might be pulled out, leaving you like a soulless being. That being said, it’s truly saddening.
After all, everything mentioned were just possibilities. It’s still up to you if you feel sad every time you see the color blue.
Chill Bill
The Monster Trinity
By now, all three of you have been regaled
With legends, myths and countless fairy tales
But listen closely, Staryu, Hug and Navy
(What odd, peculiar names to give your baby!)
For I shall tell you of three savage beasts
That haunt this wretched globe, from west to east
Three monstrous fiends that, long before your birth
Have ravaged every corner of the earth
Oceania
But let’s say you’ve avoided Oz this season
And traveled to a safer, tamer region.
Like Greece, for instance! What could harm you there?
Well… nothing much. That is, unless you dare
To venture anywhere outside the city;
And if you do, you truly have my pity.
Europe
But let’s say you escape that confrontation
And Puerto Rico's your next destination.
And this time, you won’t veer outside the city!
…and sadly, once again, you have my pity.
For even urban spots are not secure
From this bloodthirsty, cruel, demonic cur.
Central America
From continent to continent, you see
No region offers true security
From these three beasts of endless savagery
So watch your back, or they'll soon ravage ye.

Most humans take certain animas & insects for granted not realising that they do so much for the world and help keep it running. My trinity is a trinity of Animals that are vital for survival and it's written, so that we can take a look about the working day for an animal (i wrote it as if they're people and going work )
A Bomb
Throughout my whole life I’ve seen the unwavering strength women possess. For many families I know, and have known, the mother is the glue that holds them together and the foundation that holds them up. For this trinity I wanted to personify these qualities by using fictional female characters that are prominent and celebrated in their respective mediums. I guess, in essence, this trinity is an ode to mothers: truly the fiercest and most heroic group of all.
Homura Akemi is from the magical girl anime “Puella Magi Madoka Magica”. Which is viewed as the best interpretation of the genre. Homura, relives the same month in order to save her friend, Madoka, from becoming a magical girl and dying. Even after so many failures, and immense grief, Homura, manages to persevere and finally saves Madoka, but at the price of Homura transcending her magical girl state and descending into a demon. This is akin to how mothers usually make sacrifices and mistakes in raising children. But, sometimes you have to do wrong by, a friend, daughter, or son etc., to do right.
Kitana, the steel-fan wielding, kombatant of Mortal Kombat was originally the proud princess of Edenia. At least, until competent icon, Raiden sent a message in a time bottle, essentially, getting her killed; now she is a newly crowned queen of hell. After being forced into servitude by an evil sorceror, after her death, she realized she didn’t have to be a victim of her situation. She was capable of moving past that and becoming queen of hell. Goals amirite? This story echoes the feelings of many immigrant women in the world. They uproot their lives to move to a completely different world. They struggle to find where they fit into this new place and such a huge portion of them still have an optimistic view of their lives even if the floor beneath them is crumbling.
Wonder Woman is easily the most celebrated and recognizable superheroine ever created. She is an Amazon, the daughter of Zeus and her role, along with the other amazons, is to temper man’s aggression. She seeks to save men from the darkness that can consume them. Honestly, I don’t know what’s more noble than fighting for unity. Personally, my mother is the peacekeeper. She plays the role of mediator when my siblings are having conflict amongst themselves. My mother may not have the technical fighting skill or the super strength of Wonder Woman, but she does possess her own super human abilities: Usually consisting of the ability to bring anyone to their senses. A wonder of a woman, indeed.

From the first note, a cello sounds like a fantastical journey. It's simultaneously deep and billowing, like a magical woodland, yet also melodic, like an ocean. And that's one of the reasons why the cello is among my trinity of instruments. Regardless of where it is in a song, it creates an atmosphere that combines a sense of wonderment with a sense of adventure. I believe its one of the most underrated instruments too, but you just can't listen to a cello playing and not get lost in your own imaginary world.
Unlike the cello, a piano certainly isn't underrated, but rather its kind of the staple instrument. And yet, there is a reason for its popularity. Really, the piano is one of the most versatile instruments in my opinion. Many people can create incredible works with just a piano, and through the years I have seen some amazing interpretations of popular songs using a piano, to incredible results. Piano's also have that sense of wonderment to them, they're kind of like OSTs of your mind. You can create scenes and imagine stories with the piano acting as the backdrop.
As you can tell from the two instruments before, my favourite instruments tend to be the ones that have a magical feel to them, and what better example than the final entry - the harp. The harp is unique because it is so delicate and gentle sounding, it can barely sound like a spring breeze, and yet it is also quite incredible what people can do with a harp. Not only does it sound like a fantasy or a dream when its being played, but it also has a certain hollowness to it that brings chills to the listener.

Non “music” so they say.
I decided to focus on various people reacting to my faves. Outside of the usual friends and family we usually don’t see how other people and different kind of people react to our favorite artists. So my trintity is made to show how different people are reacting to three of my faves. It's interesting to see a sort of cultural insight into different people reacting to stuff.
Young teens, reacting to the message of the Prince Troye's trilogy and the implications of it.
2 singers from the same band react to the raw talent of the Queen Bey.
(You’ll need to turn on sub for this one unless you can understand Korean) Koreans react to the utter sexual goddess that is Queen Rihanna

Prismatic's Trinity of ATRL Tournaments
Foreword
Firstly, I would like you to know that the Games section is the reason why I'm still in ATRL after over 2 years here. I would still check ATRL occasionally for new music but I probably won’t bother posting at all if there wasn't such a place on ATRL. If you actually know me, I’ve tried to leave ATRL thrice but it had never worked for me. After several weeks or so, I’ll eventually make a return because I’ve grown too emotionally attached to the members, games and the whole Games section community altogether. I just couldn't bear to leave everything behind me. This trinity is my little thank you to this little community, particularly to three ATRL tournaments that have inspired or changed my life in one way or another. I know it may sound ridiculous for an online forum game to be able to significantly impact one's life, but what I’m about to say are all of my sincere thoughts from the bottom of my heart!
The first tournament is none other than the legendary ATRL game, Let's Spoon which is hosted by Element. Let's Spoon is an extremely important and memorable game for me as it was one of the first major tournaments I joined in ATRL. Before stepping into the Games section, I was doing all the stupidest things one could've done on ATRL - start flamebait threads, fight with Monsters and troll in SYG. I gotta admit, I was constantly left out in real life by my "friends" so I turned to the internet to make myself feel better. I kept doing all these silly things but nobody would respond. However, when I joined Let's Spoon, it was like stepping into a hidden utopia in ATRL. Although the players were competitive, they were still really sweet and friendly. They geniuinely wanted to befriend you and get to know better. There was this strong sense of togetherness that you just couldn't explain. I got to know plenty of great online friends through Let's Spoon and I would say it was a huge turning point of my ATRL experience. About the game itself, it is just so brilliant crafted. The challlenges are all pretty simple yet so enjoyable because you're competing with others when solving it. The highlight is of course the part where everyone has to grab their spoons and things can get quite meesy. The game is really easy to play and that's why it's such a huge success in my opinion. It's like we've all been taken back to our 5-year-old self mingling with one another in a mega playground.
Next up is another extremely simple yet fun game, Family Feud. This was also one of my first major tournaments on ATRL together with Let's Spoon. Family Feud was another game where you could find a strong community spirit. One interesting feature of this game was that there are no eliminations, hence the number of players would've remained relatively the same as the game progresses. Everyone can participate in the game together even if some were not as good as the rest. Since I've already talked about making new friends in Let's Spoon, I'll focus on another major aspect in this segment of my trinity - hosting. Family Feud 3 was the first time I stepped up and challenged myself to host a tournament of such a huge scale. It was not easy of course, but it was truly an amazing experience to host Family Feud 3 (and now 4). Hosting Family Feud means that you will have to deal with all sorts of random problems. People would complain about their unfair scoring of points all the time and it was always tough for me to settle them in such a way where all parties would be satisfied. I know that this is an important skill one should possess out in the working world, so I'm grateful that hosting Family Feud has given me lots of opportunities to develop many essential skills. Stepping up and becoming a leader is not easy for an introvert like me, but doing it online is definitely a good first step to build your confidence. I've picked up several values along my journey of hosting, including leadership, responsibie decision-making and discernment. Hosting Family Feud is undoubtedly one of my pinnacle moments in my entire ATRL experience.
Last but not least, I would like to talk about this very tournament we are in right now, Holy Trinity. Nope, I’m not doing this because this is Holy Trinity. It’s not like Tymps. is judging anyway so there’s really no point for me to be bootlicking here. To be frank, Holy Trinity is by far the game where I have put in the most effort in crafting my entries. I've never been a huge fan of these challenge-entries-judging kinda games but I thought that the concept of Holy Trinity was really intriguing. It is not merely about submitting a song that fits the challenge, there is whole lot more to it. You will need to do song interpretation and giving solid explanations of your song choice. As everyone knows, I’m an extremely rigid and straightforward person. I love fixed pattern and structures. Going against the flow is never my kind of thing so I always faced difficulties when working on my entries because I’m not good at writing at length. Throughout my short but fruitful journey in the past two months, I’ve learn to express myself in words more coherently. Every round is a huge challenge for me. It's really tough for me to put what I've gathered in my head into proper sentences that make sense. In my opinion, Holy Trinity is about a battle with yourself. It's about how you progress and grow throughout your journey here in the tournament. Thank you Holy Trinity for forcing me to step out of my comfort zone and explore new sides of myself. I'm really glad that I'm constantly improving and I'm getting recognition and acknowledgement from the judges and that's all that matters.
Everyone's submitted! Thanks so much guys. I know this round was super hard and the thought people put into this is obvious!
I'd ask you like usual to say your favorite and least favorites entries but no one ever does that lmao. Just say like "hello!" or something
I LOVE Bomb's so much, the strength of a woman concept is perfect, and I also love Satan, and Xedljadl's! But really everyone did a great job, all of the trinities are so different and well done.
wow just read everyone's entry i got a little teary, because everyone's is so good
and one of us will leave
can't we all be in the trinity just change it to the Polygon

I know it's really stupid, but I always get a little sad as we near the end of Trinity. Even though all I do is compile data and send out reminders, I do have a lot of fun hosting. It's so great to watch the effort that people put into their entries, and the evolution that people show as the game progresses. Now, we're so close to the end, and I know I'm gonna miss it during the off season. That's part of the reason why I always start these seasons before I schedule them dd. I always get too excited and post it early.
On another note, how would people feel if next season was an All Stars season instead of a regular season? I've tried to incorporate lots of twists and stuff every season but I think this game needs a more significant change, and (ironically) bringing back the best players of seasons past could do that.
OH! And also! We got nominated in the ATRL Members Award, for Best Game! (We beat out Survivor, by the way!) Vote if you'd like; I'm not going to campaign but if you feel so moved to vote that would be really sweet <3
