Here's my long ass take on everything that happened.
-Elsa and Anna were perfectly casted. Both women look and remind me so much of the film (they could have done a better job on Elsa’s costume though). As said before, OUAT has done a good job so far of being true and honest to the movie. I can’t wait for Elsa to have a run in with Rumple.
- Speaking of Rumple, him and Belle were adorable together in this episode. The dance between them was amazing. I do hate that he keeps hiding the truth from her and building a marriage based on lies. Nonetheless they were cute. I'm still very curious on what they are going to do with the sorcerer's hat and how that will come into play.
-The CGI actually held up well today. The trolls and the snow monster looked exactly like they did in the film. I died laughing when Hook and Emma were running down the street from the snow monster. I don’t why I found that so hilarious.
-Hook and Emma were very cute in this episode though there was limited amounts of scenes between the two. I’ve really warmed up to them because at first I wasn’t too crazy about this pair. They make a good couple and I loved the Netflix line.
-Regina for me was the most compelling this episode. Because she’s so complex it’s always hard to gauge what direction she will go which makes her very entertaining. It also helps that she is sassy too. Anyway I’m glad Regina provided further that she has changed. It’s not an easy road but she is somewhat trying. I can’t wait to see her peruse the book.
-Robin Hood actually didn’t make me mad in this episode (even if I prefer him with Regina). I think he made the initial right decision for that moment. He was nothing but honest and upfront with Regina instead of dragging her along. It would be completely worse had he left his wife, the mother of his child, and a woman in strange land to survive on her own. He even says to Regina that he “loved” Marian in past tense meaning he’s out of love with her. Ultimately Robin is in a situation that many married people face which is should you honor your marriage vows or should you worry about your own personal happiness. Right now he's choosing to stick for his vows and try to work his marriage out.
-Finally all the Sidney parts were great. I hope they keep him around a little more.
Can't wait for next week.
