I don't think Adele is eligible for the "International" categories, despite her huge international success, because she is British. The "International" are for artists not from the U.K. But don't quote me on this.

And I believe Rihanna won Best International Female last year.

BTW, is it easier to get high AI figures now than back then? I don't know since obviously today radio is pretty easily available but yet everyone has their own iPods etc. so radio doesn't get all the potential listeners either.

Now it is more difficult , because the urban and rythmic formats had much bigger audiances (much much bigger) like 90 mill each , that's how WBT got to 250 M AI
