So it's kind of like now when people are actually buying 25 in droves still months after it came out (and in smaller, but still significant quantities for Lemonade), yet somehow Anti is the more "popular" album of the 3.
In reality, the former albums have sold more than Anti. And are still #1 and #2 in purchases worldwide. It's so bizarre to me. And it empowers idiots like the Navy to go around claiming their faves album has more "longevity" when in reality it fell off months ago.
Billboard is meant to show the popularity of an album/song so if streaming is what the majority uses right now to listen to music than it's more than natural that it was included
So back in the mid 00s when digital sales took over if I were to buy 5 songs off of views that would just count as tracks, right?
However, aren't streams counting it as a sale towards the album and single.
I've called it double counting back when it wasn't popular to be so brave to stand up against the system (Madonna 80s teas)...
That's my only problem.
So for instance, if views was streamed 1M times (meaning tracks 1-20) were all streamed at least 1M times then I could see how they applied similar methodology from itunes albums/complete my albums
People ain't even streaming ANTI, the reason it's still so high is because of Work/Needed Me and I guess Sex With Me is taking off. None cares about the rest.
If the US adopted the same system as the UK where they don't count the first 2 or 3 highest streamed tracks ANTI would've been diving on the charts just like it did in the UK. Anti is not popular, Work and Needed Me are (as is usual with the Rhat).
And some like Beyst can't learn. Hence her not graduating
