The airplay numbers are weekly totals. The easiest way is to make an example:
DAY 1: 10.000
DAY 2: 25.000 (+15.000)
DAY 3: 35.000 (+10.000)
DAY 4: 43.000 (+8.000)
DAY 5: 51.000 (+8.000)
DAY 6: 59.000 (+8.000)
DAY 7: 67.000 (+8.000)
Let's pretend that for the 2nd week the song gets 5m updates
DAY 8: 62.000 (-5.000) [DAY 8's gain - DAY 1's gain]
DAY 9: 52.000 (-10.000) [DAY 9's gain - DAY 2's gain]
DAY 10: 47.000 (-5.000) [DAY 10's gain - DAY 3's gain]
DAY 11: 44.000 (-3.000) [DAY 11's gain - DAY 4's gain]
and so on..
It only affect the second week of a song's chart-life!
I know it's difficult.
So with a Friday release she will have a DAY 5 situation for Hot 100 purposes while if she releases on Tuesday she'll have a DAY 8 situation.
And I just got why a Tuesday release is better
