James has since returned with a huge No.1 single and album. Plus, he’s just recorded a duet with Nicole after Ellie Goulding and Rita Ora failed to return his calls. The XF judge added: “It’s so flipping gorgeous and I’m honoured that he asked me to be part of it. I can’t wait for people to hear it.”

They wasted a bug opportunity to have a hit with this tbh. Had they performed this tonight on X Factor, after the universal praise of Nicole's performance last night, and the fact that the song is amazing, and release it straight on iTunes after the performance, it could have been a Top 3 hit. And they could have longevity with a performance at the Brits.
She could use a hit collabo before she releases her own material, to get back in the game

I agree completely, I really hope it will be all worth it in the end, because it really feels odd to see her wasting the platform completely, while she had this collabo coming up and even could have released a stand-alone single to 're-introduce' herself.

Had she/they performed anywhere this weekend on the XF, she probably would've gotten the backlash for competing with her own act on the charts. The best opportunity/slot was last weekend.

Honestly, I know I've said this many times before. But i REALLY feel like this project is gonna be IT.
Let's face it. This is probably Nicole's last shot at a successful era that will put her on the map. She is 38 and she has many shelved albums, mediocre sales and relatively small fan base. If this new campaign is not at least mildly successful, she might give up. Or labels won't sign her anymore.
I'd rather Nicole take her time and get this RIGHT and serve us something groundbreaking. I need her to have everything READY. Which is why I'm actually kind of glad she didn't release a single on X factor. Because when she drops a single, and her era is not ready, she always changes her mind, which results in bad decision after bad decision. So, I'd rather Nicole plan EVERYTHING from the get go(which is why she's not talking about this project and wants it to stay a secret), so she'll drop everything at once.
They really seem to have a big plan this time around. Ollie has been travelling the world, recruiting PR people from different countries. They want to go ALL OUT with this. I spoke with him and the only thing I can tell you is that they are working HARD on this era. We won't get the messy Big Fat Lie promo campaign.
And also, the way she speaks about this project, she really seems like she's finally decided what she wants to release and what legacy she wants to leave behind. She said this project will be her legacy, and she's been working on it for years. I feel like it won't be a traditional album. I'm sure she will add a few elements of Musical theater in there. Maybe try to merge Mainstream pop music with Musical theater, with a Nicole spin on it.
X factor did its work. Nicole got back in the mainstream media, she is currently one of the biggest celeb names in the UK, her social media presence grew drastically over these last couple of months. She got some sort of attention with Moana in the US(all the bloggers that interviewed her praised her to high heavens). And she also has Dirty Dancing and Lip Sync Battle for next year, as well as another movie she might be signing on to.
I'm sure we'll get the first info int he first months of 2017.

We will see, but i can't trust her anymore. She says the same things over and over again. When she released Big Fat Lie she said the same things that is "100 % of her" ..

I mean i don't mind taking her time on this project. But I am just frustrated that nothing is happening beside it. I mean Papi and Where Is The Love is cute, but I need an other Come to Me, Scream or Heartbeat from her. A major collabo that actually gives us a new visual or gives the possibilities for more performances.
I mean with any other artist you just stay patient and want to wait. But with Nicole it is all hard to do, since we basically have seen it all with her. We have gotten so much crap reasoning for delays, periods of silence, label changes, weird repackage campagnes, performed songs that never got released and we all know we could write an entire book about these things.
I guess we have to be patient and deal, but it's just frustrating to basically hear almost nothing about one of your favorites, when basically every other artist you follow expands their discography every few months with a collabo, soundtrack song, album or sideproject

Yeah, I get what you mean. She could use a few hit collabos, especially before she releases her own material, so she can get back in the spotlight, music wise.
I think it's not only Nicole's fault here. I think she would LOVE to have collabos with artists, but the artists aren't necessarily dying to collaborate with Nicole. I think they are afraid to attach their names to her, because of her countless unsuccessful eras. So, we shouldn't always blame Nicole since we don't really know what goes on behind the scenes. Never forget that this industry is VILE.

You can tell this is the case when she shares photos with artist on insta or twitter. She will post a photo with Alicia, per say. But Alicia won't post a photo with Nicole. Only genuine arists do that. Like Emeli Sande. They respect one another, and when one artist praises you, you are thankful and respect them back.
But i have complete faith in this project, because I really think she knows what she wants. And has known for the past 1-2 years. She's been talking about taking a more serious route and trying to create something classic, since last year. And how she wanted to use elements of Musical Theatre in this project as well. I really think it's going to be something very unique and authentic.
