My money is on GOTY Persona 5

Final Fantasy will demolish Persona 5 in sales, it's just way more known/popular than the Persona series. Persona 5 will probably get better reviews though.

My brother sold the PS3 so I never got to play it.

But it looked incomplete, you're right. The arte sets for characters not named Sorey and Rose were so limited, and so to get the most out of the game it seemed as though you had to control either one of them.

And I won't even get into the Alicia mess

The Alicia mess was whatever, I'm used to not being able to play some main characters (FLYNN), and like the artes didn't bug me because the other 4 characters sorta are just there for assistance bc of armitization. But the story just is like, wtf? It wasn't finished, but at least there wasn't a ton of unnecessary jargon. IDK, I liked it, and I liked Xillia 1/2 but none of them had that special Tales feeling like Graces and previous games had.

They didn't do that in Xillia, but then Xillia's aesthetic was kinda plain for them.

They're wrong for that tbh. I wasn't going to buy a 360 and still haven't. But I really wanted to play Vesperia in English.

I actually finished Abyss a few years ago and the ending had me in tears, loved that game as well.

Zesteria is just so meh. a letdown. I forgot about Alicia's DLC I dont even wanna do it.

I need Banco to get it together and release another Symphonia, Vesperia, Abyss (the trinity)

heck even something as good as Xillia and Graces

Abyss was my first Tales Of game, luv it, 100+ hours of pure fun and feelings
I have many jrpgs in my ps3 backlog but i dont really feel like playing now that I'm #TeamVita (lots of quality jrpgs, psp gems and ps classics)

They just need to go back to their roots and stop serving us the same story copy pasted over and over again, with the same character achetypes and the same videogame engine my grandma used to play with when she was young. Stop all this animé desú crap and serve another Phantasia or Destiny, games that while had flaws and were still infested with uguu everywhere, delivered a GOOD experience and were worth every minute spent on them.

Symphonia, Abyss, Vesperia, Graces, Xillia, they've all been fun games, but they need to go back. I'm tired of the same thing repeated over and over, now with mysoginist crap and over the top fanservice.

I played it when the japanese PSP release came out and stopped midway because I really wasn't catching up to the story. I'm planning to play it on PS4 again next month or so.

just finished stella glow and i chose the normal ending. starting the new game plus so that i could max out everyone and see the all the character endings as well as the true ending

The same character archetypes is what really killed me with Zestiria. Sorrey was such a GreatValue Lloyd Irving. Except Lloyd had way more to give the audience than Sorrey did. There were no Ritas, Judys or Pascals in the party bring a bit of life to the skits and to the cut-scenes. The characters and their interactions with one another felt monotonous.
