What a diva wants, a diva gets. PEOPLE reports that sour puss Simon Cowell is working tirelessly to create a role for diva Maria Carey on his new talent reality competition series The X Factor. Cowell said that Carey has asked to be a part of the show and Cowell will concede, since you do not turn Mariah Carey down.

"You can't say no to Mariah," Cowell, 51, told the publication, admitting that Carey has expressed that she wants to be involved since day one. "We have to find a role for her. I'm a huge fan of hers – not just as an artist, but as a person, and I love her to death."

There were rumors that Carey would be a judge when Cowell was assembling that panel, but with Carey pregnant with twins, it never materialized. Given Carey's busy schedule with two infants at home, her schedule probably would not permit her to be a full-time judge, but perhaps she can be a mentor on the show, in a reduced capacity?

Um ... well, I would have to say that my favorite song from Mariah is either I'll Be There or Honey. Seeing her perform both live was just breathtaking and they both have so much meaning for me ... both for different reasons.

Honestly, the Emancipation of Mimi is my favorite album. I went on a music hiatus from mid 03' to early 05' and I only listened to grunge, rock, metal ... like Evanescence, Korn, Saliva, Rob Zombie, and etc. I know, it's hard to imagine that my poppy ass would be so metal, but it once was. She revived my ears to pop and all music in general. Not one album has inspired me or gave me a new life like the Emancipation did!
