I'm with you on the lyrics, but there is a distance in her vocals that is present here (and on Celebration, GMAYL) that was definitely not present in the 80s and 90s. It's not just that her vocals are "thin," it's that she doesn't seem to be having all that much fun.
I still like this, though.
I do slightly agree. There seems to be a bit of a disconnect in her vocals here. I'm hoping that isn't the case for the whole album (you can hear her more engaged in Turn Up The Radio so that's a good sign).
I haven't really said why I didn't like this, as I didn't even know myself. It's not the beat, the production is good. The lyrics, Madonna hasn't always been the best lyricist, plus I didn't expect them to be amazing with the Benny/Martin tracks anyway. They're exceptional.
I think her voice is just annoying me. She sounds like she just talked into the mic and Benny forced melodies/notes by computer. There's no conviction. Lucky he only has one other song.

I'm mad at Interscope right now.
Are they ****ing with us?
I mean, on Friday, we were supposed to get it, but instead, it's moved to today.
And they won't even put the song on iTunes yet? Do they want this song to crash and burn on iTunes & the BB Hot 100?
