ASCAP just registered, within the past week, a song written by Hilary called "Heroine."

I'm not sure what to think of it. The writers are the same as Happy, however, why would it just be registered and under a different name? Could it be an unfinished demo that is being shopped to another artist?

Yes
I'm kinda hoping she ends up releasing it independently though. She could still sell decently and wind up making 6X or more the amount of money per album than she would with a label.

but i guess in other side it could be more harder. I mean, radios shouldnt play to much songs from independent source. ( I know her name is big in this days too... ) So with a record company ( a good one, not a trashy ****, like Hollywood Rec.  ) is more promo possibilities could for any artist. (Radio, performance in any TV shows.... )

Hilary needs a record label to promote her music, I don't think her doing it independently would work.

Alexz Johnson is doing a fantastic job independently for her fans.
Hilary has 10 million times the fans and millions more to spend.
I just think it'll help her image more, plus make a big return on investment. I just don't know if a label will do her right.

How much has Alexz sold albums and singles wise? Comparing Alexz to Hilary is such a reach to me because Hilary still has a huge fanbase, she just needs to people to back her and let her do whatever she wants to do.

Alexz has sold over 30,000 copies of her one album, remix album and 3 EPs released independently. Her Kickstarter launched recently brought in 66k for her to use to tour.
Hilary has a stronger fanbase, which is why I made the comparison.
