The T10 most Streamed songs now each get more points on H100 than the #1 song on digital.
Under the sales divided by 10, airplay divided by 8600, and streams divided by 740 formula...
The #10 song on Streaming Songs had 11M streams two weeks ago. Divided by 740, that's 14.864K points.
The #1 song this week sold 120K. Divided by 10, that's 12K points.
I'm wondering how much BB changes this for 2016? Do they accept the impact of streaming and make mild revisions? Or do they cut like crazy? Technically, they could do the latter, knowing by the end of 2016 it wouldn't matter anyway.
I feel like Billboard, though still in denial about how dire sales are at this point, won't make a huge adjustment to the formula. I do believe that they will re-weigh the formula once again to give sales more influence, but that this change will only make an impact for a couple months at most. Then, we'll go back to seeing that 45-30-25 in terms of influence.
No. Don't do 10-based just because it's easier. I like how they look at the sales, streaming and airplay numbers and make up a formula based on how important they feel every metric should be to correctly reflect what is popular.
10-based would be way more random than how they do it now.

The fact that Selena will be blocked from the top 5 for the third time
So, are we assuming that BB is going to completely ignore the AEOY mixup?
