Great music is always supported no matter what genre!
Tell that to Neyo, Monica, Brandy, Miguel, and other R&B acts who flopped this year... R&B isn't selling like it use too... There are receipts to prove it....
I don't agree that great music is always supported.
LOT was amazing but it was no where to be found on Pop radio, it's easily one of the best songs in the past few years and had all the qualities of a hit song.

Madonna had a Top 10 lead single and a Super Bowl performance and she pushed 350K first week. Beyoncé sells 430K first week on average, but that is irrelevant since These days, R&B artists do 150Kish first week. Her only album released in this dance-pop era did 313K first week. Grammy performance may add 100K. Being released first quarter might take away 100K. Give or take 50K for any other promo like the HBO special. Hmm

Excuse me, but Beyoncé is not the typical R&B artist. So don't worry ... her new album will sell 400k + first week.

There is just no way Beyonce will flop with her next album, i know she's not that stupid to put out a RTW the 2nd as her first single again, and by the way things are looking she is going to get a shitload of promo for this era... I dont really know why some of you worry so much
Miguel makes great music hence the Queen choosing to work with him.

Clarke, I'm disappointed in you for doubting the Queen like that. I know you're trying to be realistic but Bey is above all the other R&B acts. "Beyoncé" and "new album" alone call for at least 100k. The promo and performance of the single will do the rest.
Bey excels under pressure.
Look at her Grammy performance, VMA performance, Inauguration performance.
She knows that everyone is viewing this as her comeback and she will NOT disappoint.
Look how epic Revel was when it was deemed her 'back to the stage' performance? I'm sure she's applied that same attitude to this album.
