Listening to Seo In Guk's 'Everlasting' album it's really good.
I love it!
I need him to release a full length Korean album soon though.

She can't even do that. Didn't she write those horrible lyrics for the English version of The Boys?

YG lectures Winner on 'Winner TV'
Quote:
YG Entertainment's Yang Hyun Suk met up with Winner on the January 17 installment of Mnet's 'Winner TV.' On this day, he listened to the songs the boys had been working on so far and gave his honest thoughts as well as expressed his slight disappointment.
He asked whether he should keep in mind he's on the show or just speak his true feelings. In the end, he went for the latter, saying how their songs were still lacking and that any of the 10 producers in YG could make their album within a week if the songs were to such standards. He said, "Anyone can compose. It's only important how good you are at it." However, he did say Nam Tae Hyun had some potential skills for his song "Tonight."
He then asked the boys how they felt and they admitted that after the survival program 'WIN,' they've been feeling more comfortable and at ease. Yang Hyun Suk stated that he felt the complete opposite; he was feeling uneasy.
He said, "People have high expectations because this group is the so-called next generation of Big Bang; the songs you guys made during the audition cannot be released in this quality. That'd be a fiasco . . . You need to make a song that will make people think 'That's YG for sure, that's Winner for sure.' I'm feeling uneasy so you guys can't be comfortable. You guys need to be uncomfortable. It has to be harder, more uncomfortable, and scarier than it was during your time on 'WIN.'"
He also compared WINNER to Big Bang and Team B, saying even Big Bang was not behaving the way they were and that he saw B.I sleeping on the sofa in the office at three in the morning because he had worked until late. Yang Hyun Suk pointed out that Team B was desperate because they did not know when they'd debut, but Winner needed to be more desperate because their debut was coming up.
He said, "You don't succeed just because you came out of YG. You are going through the eye of a needle. You are competing with hundreds of other groups. The second you guys think you're doing well is the second you guys are finished."
In the end, he said gently that he was not scolding them and left the boys to their thoughts. Meanwhile, the boys have been working on releasing their album for February.

She was a co-writer.
The onus lies largely with Teddy Riley. Maybe they spoke a different form of English back in the 90's when people actually used his production.

I downloaded it yesterday (not because of the cover if you're thinking), there's a lot of ballads?

I like everything on the album except We Can Dance Tonight. Production on that song is basic as ****.

Gaga's fans won't even acknowledge Katy, let alone someone more talented. They're pressed and I pity those who are like that.
Girlsx3 has grown on me a bit, but I'm still not sure about them/it as a debut...

She's not even the worst! A lot of what YG said to WINNER applies to GG. I think they're way too "comfortable" now and know they don't have to ever perform like they did for "Into The New World". Those performances and even stuff like Genie, they were great.
I'd like some of that again, please! Speaking of, when are SNSD having their comeback?? February with 2NE1?

I have to agree. It's definitely not a coincidence that SNSD and the fandom have gone downhill ever since TaeTiSeo debuted. I'm not the only one who think so.

I mean that girl who still couldn't keep up on the I Got A Boy choreo, at the Gayo Daejun.
That comments applies for BigBang too. I mean, TaeYang doesn't sing like he used too, T.O.P doesn't care for the dances and just stand here and there during the songs. GD being loud (with TaeYang ), Seungri letting the background doing his lines, and Daesung being the only one trying to serve something.

[NB] Is the third generation of idol groups opening up?
Quote:
Article: [Special Report] A generation change of idols has already begun
Source: News 24 via Naver
1. [+2,220, -112] I still miss 2008. This may just be nostalgia but the days of TVXQ, Big Bang, Wonder Girls, SNSD... there hasn't been an idol group since with a hit track or influence as powerful as them.
2. [+1,766, -150] Hm... I don't think Winner will live up to Big Bang, or Got7 will live up to 2PM, or EXO will live up to TVXQ at the height of their popularity and public recognition. There isn't even a girl group that anyone would deem worthy to follow SNSD yet... The remaining second generation idols Big Bang and SNSD will soon come to an end, and I think that will just be an end to idols as we know it as well. Even if other groups come out, they won't live up to the popularities of the former generation. You can be like EXO and force the creation of a fandom but it will be impossible to gain public recognition.
3. [+1,342, -29] Idols these days can't live up to the past... Too many to count, I only know a few... Five years ago was the best.
4. [+702, -149] I'm looking forward to Winner for the familiar faces.
5. [+327, -35] I'm a passing hip hop fan. Leaving a comment here after reading someone say that EXO has already surpassed TVXQ. I know that EXO has a large fandom but if you stopped anyone on the streets and asked if they know any of the members, they won't know. EXO and TVXQ are not comparable. TVXQ's songs from their Japanese to their Korean albums are all no joke. Each and every member is vocally talented. EXO may have succeeded in forcibly creating a fandom but they will never surpass TVXQ or Big Bang in terms of talent o rmusicality. We will never again see an idol group to surpass second generation idols Big Bang and TVXQ.
6. [+287, -44] INFINITE, SHINee, B2ST, Big Bang, and TVXQ are still, I believe, greater than EXO.
7. [+244, -32] This is certainly difficult to think about... I just hope that SHINee, B2ST, and f(x) will continue to improve more and more.
8. [+183, -7] A bit unfair to judge the current idols against their seniors. Judge them after they've been promoting for five years. In the '90s, we never thought we'd get another idol group as great as HOT but look what happened. Idols will continue to come out well into the future so quit your crazy talk.
9. [+168, -3] I still like the second generation idols enough to not move on to the third yet
10. [+139, -7] A new generation is not opening up yet. Big Bang, TVXQ, SNSD, SHINee, and 2NE1 still have strong fandoms and are considered the top of the idols.
11. [+132, -2] You wake up and every morning there is an idol who sings and dances better than you.. If anything, I predict the lifespan to shorten up quite a bit, especially for female idols.
12. [+135, -16] Instead of a generation change, let's just get rid of idols all together. Change it to be solo artist centered like IU. I'm tired of groups, honestly.

The irony in 2ne1s new album/tour title. I am ready tho. The concept images look very ahead of the curve and promising overall. Hopefully everything else can follow suit, otherwise. It's all or nothing.

to be fair to that whole post 2008 was basically THE year for k-pop. I can't argue with them.

Oh how quickly people forget. SNSDs debut was nothing special and they were pretty much overshadowed by the Wonder Girls. I mean I agree 2NE1/f(x)/SISTAR will never reach Soshi status but that doesn't mean A Pink or some other upcoming girl group won't. The only groups have come close are Kara/T-ara.
I may sound crazy but I think After School may become the next nation girl group. The graduation system makes for endless possibilities.
