Also ill wait to listen, I like the element of surprise I even did it with Holiday.

It's not her fault that the album took longer than expected, but it still makes the wait that much harder. Especially because I don't think of June as late spring anyways, it gets so hot here, June is summer to me lol
I'm not super worried about Younger interfering but I do want this album promotion to be perfect and I want her to be able to do everything she needs to do before shooting that show. I'm not even really excited about it tbh, it looks cheesy. I'm more excited for Flock of Dudes.

Haha, I see a lot of potential in Younger and I think it's going to be very beneficial for Hilary. The team behind Flock of Dudes need to get a trailer out TODAY.

It's messy because they haven't been hyping it and because she shoots Younger in a month and a half. If it comes out next month, there won't be a lot of time to do talk shows,performances, tv appearances, a radio tour, etc. before she has to start filming for Younger. And to be fair, I don't think any of her eras were that messy except for Hilary Duff & Best Of. Most Wanted only had four new songs and two were released (Wake Up was huge). Dignity also had three singles & all the promotion leading up to the album was sufficient.
I still think everything could be ok but only if this single drops within two weeks. The ranting from everybody is pretty much coming from frustration since this has been a 7 year wait and the single was originally planned for late spring. And it doesn't help at all that Andre ignores almost everything Hilary fans tweet him but still posts those annoying #ilovejuly tweets.

Promo was fine until after the album came out. Not only was Stranger's radio release canceled, she only did two performances to really promote it. Technically, With Love was the only single actually treated like a legitimate one. They also missed out on what could have been a lucrative holiday season.

I was disappointed when Bob Castrone tweeted back to me that the movie was "locked and loaded" but he had no idea when the trailer would be out. Like what even, you are the director. But I'm still excited for it.
I think my issue with Younger is that it looks like the same role Hilary keeps playing over and over again. Kelsey (so far) seems like her character from Beauty and the Briefcase to me. I do think it could be a good vehicle for her though. Even though the time slot they gave it was really late. I've always been MUCH more interested in her music career, especially now since I'm an adult and see the flaws in her acting. I re-watched Material Girls and all of her later films the other day and so many of them were terrible. Stay Cool especially.

I will probably go ahead and listen to it. It's been 7 years, I will crack if I don't listen to it, especially if the songs are of high quality, which they will be because it's Hilary's music, everyone on Twitter and in this thread will be talking about her music, I want to be a part of that discussion.

Yeah, Dignity could have at least managed to go Platinum, if they would have promoted Stranger and released two more singles after that, the era was screwed up big time and could have been saved. But, Hollywood Records was not here for that.

Yeah, Kelsey seems like Lane from Beauty and the Briefcase. I keep forgetting that the movie took place in New York and they filmed it in New Orleans. I just hope the character is fleshed out because when Hilary has a character that is fleshed out (Yonica, Greta, and even Lucy, even though that script had many problems and I really wanted to know what Lucy's problems were), she knocks it out of the park. Which is why I always wanted her to do a show for HBO or Showtime, because they have amazing characters. One night, my friend and I came up with a full concept show for Hilary to do on HBO or Showtime.

I didn't know Stranger's radio release was cancelled, I just thought radio didn't care to play it. The last time Hilary made music radio treated artists that started from Disney terribly. Nobody ever played Hilary, Aly & AJ, Jesse McCartney, Raven, or any of the others on the radio. It wasn't until a few years ago that people took notice of the power of tween and teen markets. Now the radio is full of tween oriented artists like One Direction, 5SOS, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Demi Lovato. That's something I'm really excited about for this era. I don't think the stigma attached with Disney artists is as strong anymore so I think Hilary will get radio airplay. As for the performances for Stranger, wouldn't that be Andre's fault? He's her music manager so I'm sure he was in charge of booking performances. But for all we know, Hilary could have been burned out at that point. She's spoken about it before. And if you watch her performance of Stranger on So You Think We Can Dance, she looks SO tired.

I kind of feel this way as well, I could be completely wrong but it almost seems like Flock of Dudes just isn't his main priority right now, he doesn't seem to give it second though. Though I'm not too concerned because we have bigger things coming our way.

It's strange though because I checked his IMDB and he has nothing else except for Flock of Dudes listed for 2014 and no future projects.

Yup. They canceled its adds date ONE week before the song was meant to adds. I had emailed someone at All Access and they said that it was pulled for the time being and should have been sent soon after but of course that didn't happen.
Andre is in charge of booking performances BUT, it's done based on the promotional budget from the label. My guess? They didn't give her much of a budget for the second single.
And I remember that SYTYCD performance! It's one of my favorites of hers. She was so into the role of the scorned lover, but yes she looked really tired.

Hmm..that just doesn't make sense to me. Unless you are a payola artist, radio plays songs for free. So why would they sabotage their own artist, when it could make them more money?
And I have a question for you. When an artist performs on say GMA. Does GMA pay the artist or does their record label pay their artist for that performance?

This is one of the biggest faults of the Hilary fan base, which can't totally be blamed on fans since she's taken such a long break and everyone is excited and eager. But Hilary has never made a promise she didn't keep! People just take the "maybe" and "I hope" comments way too literally.

She'll probably sing over the CD. A lot of times in her older performances she would sing the verses but lip the chorus. She might stick to that.

Because radio adds and radio promotions can cost a lot of money. They were probably not impressed with how little airplay the track was getting before it's adds date so they decided it wouldn't benefit them monetarily. You're forgetting HWR never treated their young acts like real musicians, it was all about how much instant attention, or sales, or immediate airplay they could get and then they would determine if they wanted to push further or not.
Their publishing company pays the artist and everyone involved with the song (writers, producers, etc.) EVERY TIME it's performed based on very complicated payment systems that I couldn't even begin to explain (and I don't understand fully either). The record label pays for travel expenses and coverage mostly.
