I'm in love with this performance. She hasn't utilized vibrato in so long and it sounds soooooo gorgeous. Ugh.

And I know people try to drag her for growling, but there's not one pop singer that could pull off 2:16 without literally breaking their vocal chords.

We're not sure what the original tracklist was, because a bunch of songs weren't included in the final draft. But, songs like Birds of Prey, Monday Morning, My Girls and Elastic Love are good examples of the original Bionic concept. Truly electronic with barely any elements of pop music.

Bionic was actually completed before she started filming Burlesque, which was back in 2009. It was only after wrapping up filming that songs like Not Myself Tonight, I Hate Boys and Desnudate were included in the tracklist so it's pretty obvious that's when RCA intervened. Though I've grown to love the more basic tracks, except I Hate Boys. It's truly garbage.

So i bought*downloaded* Bionic, Lotus and stripped and i listened to Bionic and OH MY GOD
Why the hell did it flop???
People were saying "that album is flawless" and i was like No.

There's tracks for everyone! People who hate on Bionic haven't listened to it in its entirety. Even with its flaws, it's a great album.

I love it too. That growl she did on "these little toooooooooown blues" was flawless and only she could do it like that.

Everything was against her at the time. It's like everyone turned on her for some reason, and I don't think the album was given a fair chance.

Stan for Prima Donna, one of the best songs on the album.

The media loves tearing people down, and they especially love pitting women against each other. There were the Gaga comparisons, and people fed into that. That's all water under the bridge now though. Bionic is the album that turned me into a huge Xtina fan.

I agree. He better not give her anything like those first 2 videos I posted. I'm starting to get excited again because I think we will be getting more album info in the next few months. The Voice starts next month too, so perhaps she will give us more info when she is doing the usual promo interviews for it.
