Yeah, really. I mean, Adele would do fine, but it's very risky. Emeli Sandé is huge in the UK and had the most successful album in the UK since 21 if I'm not mistaken. Taylor Swift is going to dominate with her album and lead single sales, and Rihanna will slay with her lead single too and she'll do okay with her album sales too, but nothing as remarkable as Taylor will do and Emeli will do in the UK. I'm excited for all of these albums, though, maybe they'll hold me off while I anxiously wait for Adele. As long as we get a lead single and some details regarding the album this year, though, I will be fine. Although I really wanted Adele to win a Grammy this year.

Yup.
The US are gonna be totally obnubilated by Taylor.
Europe is waiting for Emeli.
Mass media will be busy with Rihanna, she's gonna be literally everywhere like Katy and Gaga were last year.
I'd rather wait a couple of months more and see Adele get the recognition she deserves, alone on top of the charts!
And btw she'll probably win a couple of grammys in 2015 even if she's not nominated....HA POWER!!!

I think by late November the big releases should all be out (and with the way the industry is going, most of the eras will probably be practically over by then as well ).
Plus Adele will be THE big release when she releases this time around.

I love Emeli, but I have a feeling her sophomore slump will come tbh.

Plus most artists will just be competing for their bases to buy their album this fall.
Adele's album will be directed at a much larger audience (literally the entire GP).

Yeah, I can see them changing the Grammy deadline just so that they can nominate Adele. But look on the bright side; there was that award thing that Paul Tweeted about where Adele and Coldplay are being awarded for their outstanding achievements in music with a huge surprise planned.

I could see it. I feel like she'll do okay with album sales and whatnot, but I don't see her having any huge singles this era. Hopefully she won't have a sophomore slump, though. Her first album was flawless and I have high hopes for this one, and if she keeps delivering with the quality, I think she'll be fine.

Some people on this site are deaf or they must ignore completely music, its history and evolution.
They just looove to talk like highly opinionated boasters without knowing anything.
URL Badman by Lily Allen is their perfect portrait.

That "Is 21 overrated?" thread is irritating me so much..... The fact that people have the nerve to criticize it for its lack of musical quality but then praise albums like Britney Jean and ARTPOP is just... I mean, really... Only ATRL could bitch about 21 like this. And let's face it, whether they want to admit to it or not, it's primarily out of spite and envy because Adele is a threat to pretty much every artist in the industry now.

Even if they hate it or think it's overrated, who gives a ****? The album is over 3.5 years old now yet people cannot stop talking about it.
Us stans don't even talk about the album as much as others do on here.

21 happened, the public formed their opinion on it, it won it's awards, it sold 28 million. There's nothing pop stans on ATRL can do about it at this point. They need to get over it already.

Honestly, I think 21 deserved more success than it got. There's other songs that should've smashed as singles

I just wish "Rumour Has It" would've smashed harder than it did and they would have followed through with the US release of "Turning Tables", because I know it would've smashed. And they really could've released "I'll Be Waiting" or "Don't You Remember", too. I'm glad they didn't overdo it with the singles, though. If anything, though, "Turning Tables" deserved a proper worldwide release.

I think I remember the radios wanting IBW summer 2012, but her labels weren't into it, thought it would hurt Skyfall.

Yeah, radios in the US started playing "Turning Tables" and "I'll Be Waiting" unofficially, and XL was asked if they had plans to release them officially in the US and they said they weren't going to because they didn't want her to get overexposed or something like that.
