Y'all are so much more optimistic about what Hillary and Congress will actually be able to achieve.
I keep getting the feeling that Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are completely clueless. It's likely the Dems will take back the Senate, but I have this weird feeling that the Dems will fight over what needs to take priority and they'll waste precious time.
If ANYONE could unite the Senate and get compromise hammered out it is Hillary Clinton. She has the track record to prove it.
the health conspiracies are the dumbest ive seen yet
all of the articles claiming they talked to "PROFESSIONAL HEALTH EXPERTS" and then proceeding to quote these said experts with a bunch of nonsensical conspiracy theories without listing their name, title or including any research or anything
i have to applaud those still trying it though. these past ...30? polls must be hard to accept so they are trying anything now
lol @ the Trump supporters trying to swift boat Hillary now by saying she has a mental disorder/brain damage. Sorry but you can't tag that on to her when you're supporting Trump.
I'm fiscally conservative and socially liberal so he fits most of my stances (climate change/conservation being one we don't agree on completely), plus the fact that's a great guy. Not really presidential but then again this isn't a race of "presidential" candidates
That really should make alarms go off with any voter.
So all those "white" rust belt gun owners gonna go for gun reform? Really?
You also think Hillary gonna pass all that legislation, and fall on the political sword? This IS Hillary Clinton you're talking about? Right?
The GOP (even if they lose some seats in the House n Senate in 16) will gain them all back in the midterms of 2018...so unless all the conservative Supreme Court justices suddenly kick the bucket before 2019, no way does the GOP lead House n Senate approve Hillary's liberal justices.
I'm sorry you can't comprehend. We were just talking about a hypothetical, slim chance of actually happening, Nov 16 win of the Hillary Clinton and Senate majority very likely to happen. If Trump sucks so bad in the debates, we may get a House majority. If that happens, we may be able to get the things we want done.
Even if Hillary loses seats in 2018 and the presidency in 2020, she can still have a bigger legacy than Obama because 1) she'll have accomplished things Obama never could 2) a 5-7 liberal/moderate Supreme Court would uphold all of these actions and block Republicans for decades.
And even then I don't see how she would be a failure. Immigration reform, lifting white workers in the Rust Belts out of poverty, gun legislation that 90% of the country agree with, equal pay, raising minimum wage, closing the inequality gap with the rich, help student debt relief, push clean energy measures, and providing equal protections for the LGBT for good. That will be enough to finally bring Bernie progressives home, secure Hispanics/blacks, show she's not "establishment" which Trump supporters reject as well, and finally show white working class voters that there is a party that supports them. A progressive Hillary with a Congress and Supreme Court behind her will actually do more harm that good for her reelection bids IMO.
People forget that Obama got a lot done his first 2 years, but his last 6 were full of obstructionism. That first two got us out of a recession despite the rhetoric. Imagine Hillary's first two years. No party could dispute she got things done FOR REAL.
I find it funny that everyone says this isn't the year for establishment, presidential aspects, and status quos. That is somewhat true, but ironically that's the main reason Hillary won the primaries and will beat Trump. Know how to pick your battles.
This was a kii. I love Johnson. If he had any chance of winning I might vote for him instead of Hillary
Are you voting for him based on the interview and his lack of baggage or are you voting for him because you truly share his conservative economic ideologies?

What did I not comprehend? You were being delusional, I was just giving you a dose of reality.
She isn't going to touch gun legislation...you can forget that. If Obama couldn't pass it when Dems had both the House and Senate, no way Hillary can with a smaller Democrat majority.
Someone being in politics 30 years not being "establishment" <more delusion.

You conveniently left out the part where the DNC basically put a hit on their anti-establishment candidate Bernie Sanders.

I know you're a troll, but let me entertain this anyway. You're insinuating that Hillary won't make good on her promises which is so off base, but do you. First, Obama Congress didn't push for gun legislation back then if I'm correct. Today, the story is different. The country cares a lot about this issue, and so does Hillary and Tim.
Second, a Democratic Congress would 100% vote on a gun bill and with a majority they would get it pass. Elizabeth, Chris Murphy, Cory Booker or one of them would most def draw it up. As someone said, these proposals have already been written and they just need to be voted and signed by POTUS. Hillary will def sign it if it passed and not even Republicans will disagree on this.
Lastly, I'm not delusional. Me and Mike were having a conversation and said how cool it would be in a world with a majority Dem across the board. Never said it would happen, and never said it would happen in big numbers. It was just ATRL talk. If anyone is delusional, it's you to think Dems wouldn't swiftly make sure the Equality Act gets passed and a liberal Supreme Court saying its constitutional. And Hillary IS establishment, but her presidency will make sure that term is not a dirty word like socialism and liberal. And Hillary won fair and square. I'm not having this discussion again over that.

That's my point...the votes are not there for "gun legislation"...not while the NRA is lobbying around. Even some moderate Democrats won't budge on "gun legislation" cause their constituents would turn on them. Obama knows it, and so does Hillary...it just sounds good to say it on the campaign trail.
Hillary's in for a fight on the Supreme Court...she will have to compromise and pick more moderate justices.
