So to lump them and MTFs, actual trans people living as women and who spend their lives trying be acknowledged as such, into the same category is a little offensive. And I guess most people in the trans community consider the word a slur anyway.

Grow A Pear got her a lot of flak as well iirc, but with the FTM community this time instead. "No, I don't want to see your mangina." "I just can't date a dude with a ***." And so on and so forth.

BUT!! Her heart is obviously in the right place and she's obviously a friend/ally, so I don't think anyone should get all bent out of shape over a few misguided quotes. She isn't transphobic. People just like to blow things out of proportion imo.

I guess I don't watch enough interviews. and how could I forget about "Grow A Pear"
it just sounds like she needs a sensitivity training course, tbh. "tranny" is not an acceptable word in the trans community, and drag queens certainly aren't always trans (but they can be). like you said, I believe her heart's in the right place, otherwise I would have an issue. I feel the same way about Katy Perry and the "Ur So Gay" fiasco, but that's another discussion for another time
