Hello, musicfan09, Kleine, & Lucky#17 to the first Redemption Island Duel. You are all here because you were eliminated from your original tribe for whatever reason. Now is the time one of you moves forward in the game, and the other two are officially sent packing.
Let's see what you all brought to the table this duel...

1. musicfan09 - Jeremih - Birthday Sex

Dylan - 7.5 - Lyrically, it's sex from the title to the actual lyrics. Sonically, it's sexy to a solid degree, but not scalding hot. The only real problem is Jeremih's voice is so whiny and edited when he should be serving raw sex with the vocals. Overall, a decent entry from you so even if things don't go in your favor this duel, at least you knew what you were doing this time around.

2. Kleine - The Isley Brothers - Between the Sheets

Dylan - 8.5 - Not you choosing a song with the same title of this theme. The instrumental is sensual. The lyrics are obviously about getting "between the sheets" so you're well off there as well. My only complaint would be it doesn't really build up to anything. A climax of some sort would have been nice but it's still a solid choice from you, Kleine!

Mario - 10 - It's cute how the song shares the title with our challenge but what's great is how this fit the theme. This is seriously better than a lot of regular entries. 100% sexy!

3. Lucky#17 - Beyoncé - Blow

Dylan - 7.5 - This one was the hardest to judge for me. The lyrics are provocative and I love the metaphors to cunnilingus they came up with for the track. Bey's vocals are sexy and the panting is hot. But, the song is more of a disco jam than it is baby-making music. The "turn that cherry out" part in specific is very much disco dancey and it's hard to imagine this being a love-making jam because of that despite the lyrics/vocals. The positive and negative come together to form a just okay entry for me Lucky.

Mario - 7.5 - The lyrics totally serve sex at its raunchiest. The production is sensual but it's flawed by being too disco-flavoured and that makes it feel less boner-inducing than it could have been and more quirky.

musicfan09 - While you came in 3rd this duel, you did seem to grasp the theme decently enough this round redeeming yourself a bit for your first entry. Your stay was short but at least you got a chance this season. Unfortunately, this is officially the end of your Survivor journey, but I am glad to have had you as a player and to have had your cooperation with this Redemption Island twist.
Lucky#17 - You took a hearty 2nd in this duel, but that is not enough to remain on the island. I'm sure 23rd wasn't your ideal placement, especially after coming close to and making the Merge in previous seasons. But, each season of Survivor is different and you can't always expect to perform the same. Sorry to see you go so soon but thanks for supporting my game once again, Lucky!
