I didn't care much for the concept of "malevolence" in Zestiria. It's kind of silly if you think about it.
So what - everyday citizens are subjected to war, famine, corrupted governments, etc...and if they at any point become resentful, angry or bitter they are corrupted with "malevolence" (and turn into monsters). So what, the whole world lives under a system where everyday people are essentially punished for having every day human emotions?
