For 20 Y.O. she was supposed to work with alot of the biggest producers and have a few songs that were throwbacks to the Control era. She worked with The Neptunes, Dr. Dre, Kwame, Pharrell, Polow, and Lil Jon but Jermaine Dupri took over the entire project and none of their songs made it.
The record label was completely and utterly stupid I mean turning down producers like the neptunes, lil jon & dr. dre. That album could have been so amazing and I could see her maybe doing a collab with Timbaland. I'm just like why why didn't they just trust her vision I mean was RN1814 not enough proof???
10 years of Just A Little While - one of her best singles in my opinion. Woulda been Top 5 if it wasn't for the ban. But anyways, let's BOP to it
Bow to SLAY a Little While! This is one of her most underrated singles..really good video too. Definitely would've been AT LEAST top five if not higher without the blacklist. I love the version they used in the video.

I dont see why they wont listen to HER after shes proven to be right about basically everything they have doubts about when it comes to HER career.
I know Mariah likes Janet. I think she, along with Whitney, are Janet's two ppl she confides in within the industry. At Oprah's legend's ball, Mariah and Janet were together a lot - at least in the shots that aired. They were supposedly supposed to remake "Making Love In The Rain" some time back in 2006, but that all fell thru.

YAASS Mimi and Janet look great together
They've been photographed together a few times. Mariah said she always talks to her like a fan when they see each other because she respects her so much and Janet also said she loves her
They were supposed to do a duet version of You Ain't Right from All for You and they also talked about doing a duet for 20 Y.O.
Thanks guys!
Ohh they're perfect together. A duet in 1998 would've been perfect. I'm still here for a Any Time, Any Place + Bliss mashup
I must admit I didn't really give Janet a chance until like one or two months ago, and now she's slowly making me STAN. I loved The Velvet Rope, of course. I think I might like janet. even more, actually.
Due to the blacklisting affecting its overall performance, the album is generally considered underrated by music journalists in retrospect. The Telegraph listed it among "120 Essential Pop Albums" several years later, declaring it a lost "classic."[5] Another anecdote labeled the effort as "criminally underrated", with the denouncement and boycott of Jackson called "one of the saddest things in pop music over the last decade." Several critics have noted Damita Jo to serve as the inspiration for artists using similar concepts of alternate personalities for their album titles and campaigns, including Britney Spears' Britney Jean, Beyoncé's I Am...Sasha Fierce, Mariah Carey's The Emancipation of Mimi, and Katy Perry in "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)."
