Just about to submit. Are we able to include a brief background to the song or is it best left up to interpretation? Asking because sometimes context can really elevate something that doesn't seem to work well at first into something that makes perfect sense.
This was definitely too poem-y, especially considering this entry was formatted like a poem with periods and all. The sentiment was nice here, especially the opening three lines, but I felt like you repeated yourself too much, and that really doesn’t work in this challenge where you specifically need to make every word count on its own.
- “and you hurt me like you hurt me” Typo?
- “Anyone who had a heart / would take me in his arms / and love me too. / You don't really have a heart” that last line is just really clunky paired with the first. It’s way too close to it.
- “and be so untrue” You don’t really call a person “untrue”
- Again, I liked the opening triplet, but you kinda reiterated it with the following one, which didn’t seem necessary.
Like [username retracted], the underlying emotion exceeded delivery here.

I added it under the collapse tag. I was kind of divided on whether I should it not cause some judges feel some type of way about explanations but it's up to their discretion to read it!
Totally include briefs on your entries if you want, but it's up to each individual judge if they choose to read them and take any mind. Personally, I like to know a little bit more

Yeah, exactly. I never minded them but I know some people strongly dislike explanations which is understandable I suppose.

I'm Adam Tymps and I'm here to make it clear
I know you love me, baby, that's why you didn't make me a judge
Was a c*nt in Season 2 and never made it right
Give me a write-to-an-instrumental challenge and I'll give you what you like
I'm full of water imagery, baby, just like in a tsunami
My whole house is flooded and it makes me want to die
I have to get this right so you don't waste your time
Not like all my songs except Frank, I'm killing on this rhyme
