I LOVE reading people's comments like "I like her songs from the 80s and 90s" and then comment on the lyrics of this song.

If you listen to her songs like "Into The Groove" or "Like A Virgin" from the 80s..those are very simple, almost superficial lyrics just like this song.

I don't get it.

Aside from some production issues in the chorus I actually really like the song! But what are you gonna do..everyone is a critic *shrugs*

I think it has something to do with, in general, people criticize her new music. Same thing happened with Hard Candy. And now everyone loves it, and it's a "great pop record". Same thing can really be said about artists who have been around for a long time. In a few years, it will be one of her classic songs.

I'm with you on the lyrics, but there is a distance in her vocals that is present here (and on Celebration, GMAYL) that was definitely not present in the 80s and 90s. It's not just that her vocals are "thin," it's that she doesn't seem to be having all that much fun.

I still like this, though.

Ughhhh. I love it but just the volume of her voice irks me. It was the same with GMAYL. It's like, I want the volume of her voice to be louder than the track itself? It feels like the beat's louder than her voice or just eerily at the middle :/ It would create a more powerful song idk my senses are just tingling
