Yeah I understand, and I also agree that we, the people have the power, we are the numbers and we are the $$$ that fund these projects...but it's just not a risk I'd be willing to bet my career on.
Idk maybe I don't get it cause I'm white...I mean I'd be more than happy to boycott this film for the reasons you and other Asians are upset about, but the rest of society certainly isn't and I honestly don't think they care - which is why I don't think we should place all the blame on Hollywood, sure they help shape what is seen as ideal and what isn't when it comes to looks, race, gender, sexuality etc...but the people are stupid enough to buy into it.
Maybe we just need smarter people.
