I really wasn't a huge fan at first but there's something to appreciate about coming to the end of all the telephone bad signal noise and the nice ringtone music starting. It gave me sort of a pot of gold rainbow / light at the end of tunnel vibe which I really appreciate because it's an interesting narrative. Also listening to L.O.V.E on vinyl is a holy experience. Even my eleven year old sister who despised it said that she loved it after I played it to her on vinyl. Noticing the sounds of the running water in the background is my favourite thing.
Oh ok maybe you're right Thanks for explaining it to me.
They're not reaaaally new, but after releasing EP's and focusing on their solo projects, they delivered the Techno bops with their debut full-length album 'Tundra', on R&S Records.
#19. Låpsley Genre: Alternative R&B, Future Garage, Ambient Pop - Country: UK
If Adele and James Blake had a baby, it would be Lapsley, and I mean that as a good thing. Her vocals and her production are great, and she will release her debut album next year. also, I think she's just 19.
#18. Alessia Cara Genre: Contemporary R&B, Electropop, Alternative R&B - Country: Canada
Maybe her debut album had a lot of filler, but she had a really great year, with her debut single, “Here”, and who knows, maybe she'll pull a CRJ and surprise us with a better, great album next time? I hope so!
#17. Georgia Genre: Electropop, UK Bass, Industrial Hip Hop - Country: UK
I should've listened to her album more often, because it had some quality tracks. But her music is like, if Death Grips suddenly decided to start producing tracks for Lorde and Fever Ray... and it sounds amazing, most of the time!
#16. Courtney Barnett Genre: Indie Rock, Indie Pop, Garage Rock - Country: Australia
Well, she did release one of the most critically acclaimed rock albums of 2015, and I really like her even if I don't always listen to her music. Which means, she REALLY should win that Grammy for Best New Artist. Anything but Meghan Trainor.
#15. Wolf Alice Genre: Indie Rock, Noise Pop, Alternative Rock - Country: UK
Wolf Alice are probably one of the very few new Rock bands I remotely care about, and their music proves that they're going to have a very successful career in the future, and I hope their sound evolves. Also, I'm surprised something as abrasive as “Moaning Lisa Smile” smashed the U.S. Alternative radios, considering how weak their selection usually is, but oh well.
#14. Years & Years Genre: Electropop, Synthpop, Dance-Pop - Country: UK
This group really broke through in the UK, and although they weren't as successful in the USA, their debut album brought the catchy hooks and the fun needed this year.
#13. Fetty Wap Genre: Pop Rap, Trap Rap, Contemporary R&B - Country: USA
Fetty Wap was, without a doubt, the hitmaker of the year. “My Way”, “679”, obviously “Trap Queen” and every single he released, was a smash in the USA. And although his album was kinda same-y, it's still a fun collection of potential hits.
Ash Koosha actually had a pretty long career back in Iran, and one of his bands was featured in the film 'No One Cares About Persian Cats', which was presented in Cannes, and although he made some OK Indie-Pop, this new music of his is anything but. It's crazy, weird, experimental electronica that would make Autechre proud!
#11. Shamir Genre: Synthpop, Electro-Disco, Hip House - Country: USA
Shamir is one of the very few Pop acts this year who impressed the critics and still had some kind of impact in real life. His debut album is full of fun bops, crazy beats and hooks that will never ever leave your head!

Alessia Cara La amo! Odié "Here" la primera vez que la escuché, pero con un par de plays más ya la amaba! amo la letra y su album es bueno. Amo el video de I'm Yours también
Years & Years los conozco como desde hace 2 años
Fetty Wap
Very excited to come back for the artists. I did like what I've heard from Shamir and gotta love Fetty too of course
Also, I definitely left a comment about your album covers, but I think it was maintenance time and it didn't go through. Pretty much I loved all of them and was inspired to check out Kate Boy. The Blanck Mass one kind of terrifies me though Still want to listen to the album.
