This "MIA is a homophobe" non sense needs to stop. No offense to you sis, since I know you are just making assumptions based on these lyrics but so many close minded people tend to think that just because she isn't "praising gay people!!!!!" all the time. M.I.A. is about and for THE PEOPLE and not only gay people, people of color, muslim people etc etc....

If you ask me the #LoveWins line refers to hashtag activism and could also be about segregation.

Her very best friend/the producer of her documentary is also gay, she talked about homophobia in Third world countries before, she e-mailed a fan a unreleased song of hers because of his gay struggles......

I really am a fan of Matangi + her last three singles
I don't really know about her personal beliefs or anything prior to Matangi
but yes that means I can still listen to her music without wondering if she hates me

She's having a go at #LoveWins because of the fact that love isn't winning. If #LoveWins then people would be more accepting and compassionate of the refugees etc. That's just the way I took it.
