^ Bleh. I hate that Billionaire song. It doesn't deserve to be in the Top 10.

Have they performed anywhere other than on Ellen?

As far as I know, La Roux hasn't performed anywhere besides Ellen in the US. And I agree GaGaFan, I don't like Billionaire either.

The Te Amo video has had no impact at all on the songs position on iTunes in the UK thus far, how odd. If anything it appears to be decreasing, I guess it's too soon to judge though. Perhaps it will pick up.

^ I know...its too bad though. If it doesn't do better in the UK, then it prolly won''t see a US release.

I noticed that too...I think that Te Amo charted too high too early to have a better impact. Let's wait and see. And I know why Gaga has had more no.1's in the UK. She seems to release her singles WAY too early in the US, and releases the video WAY too late, which in essence, fails the song. In the UK, the song is picked up like WEEKS after it already charted in the US, and when the video comes out, it's about the same time Alejandro will peak in the UK. Gaga needs to be smarter with her videos, like taping Dance In The Dark now, for a more timely video.

Well, the timing for Alejandro's video now seems to be going very well. She is increasing on airplay, and is steady on iTunes. So, she is going to have the maximum impact .

Well she was lucky this time around, but Telephone and Bad Romance videos were like 10 weeks after the song charted, which drained the power out of both. I bet if Gaga released a more timely video, Bad Romance would have reached no.1 here before Tik Tok blocked it, and Telephone could have charted no.1 here (But I don't think so, considering it sold 1 million copies before it even was announced as a single)

I do agree that she needs to speed up the process of making the video. If it really takes that long to edit it, though, she needs to make better planning for the filming.

I'm thinking that maybe GaGa is deciding to release her videos a little later so they have time to make an impact on the charts. Once the songs start to make an impact, the release of her videos give it that extra boost that it needs. When the video is released the moment the single is released, the song may peak quickly, but won't have that extra needed boost that it could potentially have.

It never even climbed into the top ten, it may have peaked, but it certainly didn't climb too quickly. The situation was similar for RudeBoy, it was just outside the top ten before the video was released, and then when it was released the song was further propelled towards the top of the chart, eventually peaking at number 2. Te Amo should have followed a similar pattern. We'll know soon if Te Amo is going to move up again.
She does not release her singles too early in the US, radio starts playing them too early. They are always very eager to move on to her next track even before her current single is done. The UK market is different to the US market, TV airplay (videos) seem to have a greater effect on the chart here. GaGa's songs climb steadily until the video is released and then they manage to get a good peak when it does. Her video releases have coincided nicely with the official release date of her singles in the UK. Her airplay is only taking off now, hence the low chart position for Alejandro, but that's good because sales are more likely to be compact now, Alejandro should manage a good chart peak.

I don't really get this, though. Telephone couldn't break into the Top 10 on iTunes until the video was released, and it just so happened that the video came out around the time airplay was peaking, which was advantageous. Telephone would not have peaked so high otherwise, IMO.
If I recall, the Bad Romance video came out when airplay was too low for it to overcome ESOM.
