I don't "support abortion" I support a woman's right to choose what she does with her body. And its really annoying how MEN especially, who do not have to experience a pregnancy or have a uterus want to control what a woman does with what's in her body.
1) Why should a fetus be granted rights to another's body to sustain their life? No living PERSON has that right.
2) People who only support abortion for rape are damn hypocrites. Is it only a valuable life that deserves to be protected if it was conceived through consensual sex? These people just want to punish others for having sex. Does it not count as a life through rape? If a woman can abort because of rape, she should be able to abort for any other reason.
3) If a fetus is deemed a "person" with the same rights as anyone else we would have to look into each miscarriage to decide whether or not it was killed intentionally. Every single time a woman miscarries (it happens a lot) she has the chance of being arrested for unlawful killing.
4) Why does a fetus only count as a person and as part of the population after its born? Should we start counting them as people from inside the womb? No? Then they don't deserve a 'person's rights'
5) My body, my uterus,, my rights. I control everything inside of my body and the contents of my uterus. You can't tell me otherwise.
6) Banning abortion does not stop them. It just makes it incredibly unsafe for the mother. I feel that pro life people are not actually pro life, but pro birth because they don't give 2 f**ks after the baby is born. If you actually want to stop abortions, tackle the reasons women want to get an abortion. Address the issue of men RAPING women, so rape victims dont want abortions. Address the issue of some women losing their jobs when they get pregnant, or having to drop out of school, or not being able to afford to take care of a child because minimum wage is a joke, or they don't want to give it up for adoption because the adoption system is a joke... so that women don't abort because of convenience. That's how you stop abortions.
Idk I'm all for women's rights It just never sat well with me that you're killing what will become a human life. I know I wouldn't have wanted to have been aborted vs living.

@ people actually thinking abortions are used as contraception
Right? I've never heard of that being the case, ever. Most people who argue that either have nothing to show for it or "my friend's friend's neighbor's grandma knew someone who did that!!11!" as an argument.

Oh dear, I guess some people go out of their way to understand and some people bury their heads to avoid the potential worry, I live in Northern Ireland, we do sex ed at 15-16 generally and by that time it's normally too late for a lot of people but I have a great Mum who was always honest with me and willing to answer awkward questions without being judgmental. The sex education system is definitely flawed.
I dated an american guy for like 7 years and until I explained periods to him he actually thought that girls laid an egg once a month, I should've ended that relationship on the spot. At least here boys and girls are give the menstrual cycle class at like 12.

Someone fight me I dare
Came in here to make a giant post, saw this, realised my work had already been done.
Having an abortion is a medical decision a woman makes. Like all other medical decisions, there are 2 people whose opinions matter. The woman, whose uterus contains the fetus. The doctor treating this woman.
No one else gets a say. The end. You CAN NOT tell a woman that she "has" to have a baby. She "has" to do nothing you tell her to. Pregnancies are complicated, life-changing, painful and sometimes dangerous. Giving birth is all those things as well. How on earth can anyone tell a woman she "has" to do any of those things?

Yes
I'm tired of the abortion debate
Earlier this year on Facebook I saw hundreds of people making claims to the rights of the man if he wanted the baby as a reason against abortion. Pathetic.
