Agreed. Again, it's not a bad thing persay so there's no need for anyone to get defensive about it....It's just how it is, just like the Grace Jones influences/imagery.

Thats a very extremeist thing to say.. Are the two simiar? YES. Has Madona been an influence on Lady Gaga? Absolutely..

However, it's very unimaginative and innacurate to say that Lady Gaga's entire career and image is a rip-off of Madonna. I'm not going to write an essay but I will say that there are pleanty of differences between the two...Pleanty. The primary reasons thier compared are due to both their ability to shock and their unrelenting grasp on international pop culture... the sad thing is that even though they both think outside the box and consistently "shock", their methods of doing so are VASTLY different from one another.

Gaga "ripping" off past artists is always going to be a discussion amongst those that can not come to terms with the "revolutionary" Gaga. What it all comes down to is that all musicians come from a common ground...from that one cave man that decided he was going to make a beat on his lap :P

LOL! I thought so too! But Gaga's American Idol performance was definitely a taste of the video. Very Latin with salsa influence :P Notice that the outfits worn by dancers on AI matched those in the pic! fo shizzle my grizzle
