I came here legally and my family has sacrificed a lot. I'm also going to a substandard university because I couldn't afford the one of a higher caliber that I was accepted to. If I came here illegally, my family would have the thousands necessary to get me into the school I deserved since we would not have paid taxes or fees. Where's the sympathy?

If you can't stick to the debate posed in the OP, please leave. My residency status is not up for debate here. My family and I have worked hard here. Can't say the same for illegals that like to skip steps.

So you reasoned that your situation is the fault of the very small minority of illegal immigrants enrolled in universities? If they did not have money to go through the process the legal way, what makes you think they have the "thousands necessary to get them in the school they deserved"? They are struggling too.

how the hell do you think dreamers pay for college?
they're not eligible for federal grants or loans so it all comes out of pocket
good thing companies like facebook are investing in them because people like you aren't

I think for many of these jobs (except for odd jobs) they would rather have citizens working for them than undocumented immigrants, but a lot of citizens are simply not taking those jobs.

Illegals play oppressed to get into schools like Harvard for free. I actually worked, they and their families didn't make sacrifices.

It's not a direct a cause, but paying in state tuition for illegals or even allowing them to go to school there with any assistance takes money that could be going to help the education of low income citizens.

They get in for free by playing the victim. Texas even has an equivalent of FAFSA just for undocumented immigrants, and they get in-state.

How am I being condescending? And it's not my opinion when in fact many universities already accept undocumented immigrants and don't use that as an obstacle to apply or enroll.

So unless you think you could govern the university System way better (which each state has the jurisdiction to do) then by all means IMPOSE your beliefs on them.

This is a fallacy and you yourself listed several jobs Americans currently already do. The only one I would even concede is agriculture, which accounts for max 5% of all illegals.
