This Beach House album kinda flew by me on first listen. It was okay I guess? Feels like one of those albums that will take like a dozen listens before anything really sticks.
There's no more depth to it than that. It's one note vocally musically, and emotionally, not to mention the production feels very cheap.
I agree, but for different reasons. A lot of the album takes a while to sink in because it can be a bit dense and complex at times. A few songs are pretty immediate though, like the singles. It's also long af, but that doesn't really bother me anymore.
