It isn't their "normal practice" to leave the donuts exposed for any extended period of time.
The employee behind the counter was in the process of putting the donuts in the display case when Ariana walked in. This task was temporarily put on hold to greet and assist Ariana, who, in turn, decided to repay the donut shop for their attentiveness with a glob of saliva.
But the point that NONE of you are acknowledging is that the store in question (per their interview — and we have no reason to suspect them of lying because, um,
they're not the assholes in this situation) is not in the habit of leaving the food uncovered. The donuts in question were in the process of being added to the display case. Had Ariana not walked in when she did, that task would have been completed.
But, honestly, I'm really happy those donuts didn't make it into the case before Ariana showed up. It's good to have video that documents the sort of bratty and absurd behavior for which the bitch is famous.
